That's terrible logic astrobull...with that logic you could also say that UCF and USF have a good 75 years before they have to worry about having any football success because it took FSU and UF that long...

The landscape has changed.  UCF took a different road than USF not because USF was some godsend...but that's just how it's done now (see UCONN, FAU).  Start in IAA and run with it.

I blame the fast food high-speed internet society on all of this mess :)

Actually, FSU had success after 19 years .......but don't let facts get in the way of your rationalizing.

sorry about that guys, I was just basing it on how long it took UCF, I knew we made it up to I-A pretty fast, but I was mainly basing it on time having a football team.  If they were to wait as long as UCF, it would be 2020, but since we're in the Big East before we have had a team 10 years, hopefully that timetable speeds up.

When our team formed, I-A wasn't nearly as big of a deal as it is now.  Today, teams are rushing to get in.

As Dennis Dodd wrote, we have the facilities, money and now, the wins to build a program worthy running with some of the better national programs out there.
