I remember when people around the Bay area were blasting Rich McKay of the Bucs saying we needed a real football man who had experience, and that Rich was unsuited and in way over his head. Well, he was a very large part in bringing the Bucs a championship and now he is regarded as one of the best GMs in the business. Every OC is new on their first job. Let's give Rod a chance and see how he can adapt over the season. Are you guys still going to ***** even if we win the Big East?As for nicknames, I say "Scooter", just because. He was an OC for one year at a high school 8 years ago. It looks that way too when he panics and goes away from the gameplan when we are only down by 7 with a half to play. Why can't we find someone at any level of college who has any experience? RS needs to learn on the job at the D3 level not BCS level. I have a feeling he is just a lackey for CJL and that may not be a good thing. CJL is a great D coach but that usually means they have no idea how to run an offense.
