Okay... someone needed to start compiling this... if I missed anything, let me know.

Hopefully I don't have to include abbreviations for USF opponents or the various positions in football and basketball!

The most common abbreviations used:

AA = Athletic or alumni association

ADDW = Athletic Director Doug Woolard (see also DW)

BE = Big East

BB = basketball

C4 = Carlton Hill - USF freshman QB/WR

CD = Courtney Denson - USF backup QB

CJF = Coach Jose Fernandez - head women's basketball coach

CJL = Coach Jim Leavitt - head football coach (also JL, Jim, the Jim)

CRM = Coach Robert McCollum - head men's basketball coach

D = defense

DW = Doug Woolard - USF athletic director

FB = football

FTU = Florida Technical University - former name for the University of Central Florida (smazza refers to UCF as Florida Technical University/Orlando University/Orlando College "ftu/ou/oc")

HC = Head Coach

JG = Judy Genshaft - USF president

JL = Jim Leavitt - head football coach (also CJL, Jim, the Jim)

LRS = Lee Roy Selmon - fomer USF athletic director, current director of USF athletic foundation

MB = Marquel Blackwell - former QB for USF

O = offense

OC = Offensive Coordinator [unless it is in a smazza post OCS = on campus stadium

OOC = out of confernce

with FTU/OU/OC, see FTU]

RB = Ronnie Banks - former USF QB

PJ = Pat Julmiste - USF QB

RS = Rod Smith - offensive coordinator (sometimes OCRS)

TO = turnover or time out

Other abbreviations are used that are thread specific... for example if a thread is about Andre Hall, a user may type "AH" ...

There are also a number of abbreviations that come from IMs and chat rooms (IMHO, ROTFL, LOL, etc). For more info on these, check out: http://www.techdictionary.com/chatsms.html

what does C-DOA stands for? I know it refers to C-USA but I can't figure it out.  My best guess: C-Dead On Arrival?
