not sure where you heard any of that from

sounds like either a joke (40 yards per carry? please) or a lie

UM linebacker Williams told his cousin Chad Simpson, a return specialist from Miami Edison High, to ''strap up'' in light of Miami's dominant defense. USF quarterback Courtney Denson, from Miami Central High, told UM defensive end Bryan Pata he'd ``break for, like, 40-yards.''

Hi - new to the boards

I just don't understand why we were talking so much crap from our players and fans as well.  Yes Miami is beatable, but regardless it still is Miami.  The game went as I thought, a loss but not a blow out.  Our defense was solid, unlike our offense.  UM knew our strength, Hall.  Once they shut him down, we pretty much had to rely on our air game - which is not that great.  This is our first season in the big east and first time we are playing with the bigger and better schools.  Give it about 5 years or so and we'll be getting better recruits and we'll be competetion.

All though I would love to see USF do great, I just don't think we are at that point yet to be classified as a top team.  I do believe that a bowl game is achivable this year - we only need 3 more games to qualify and with us being in the Big East this year, that should improve our chances.

disagree-- this stuff works in cycles. We've played the big programs occasionally for years. In 2002, we went 9-2 and gave a highly ranked OU team all it could handle.

This year- much of this is unexpected based on last year's mediocre/inconsistent performance. We can hang with big teams, even beat some of them, but it still comes down to the play on the field. There are too many variables to assume an outcome is always going to go the way it did. If we play that game last over about 10 times, we might win it 2 maybe 3 based on breaks going a different way. We just didn't have the type of game needed (mistake free primarily) to get it done.

White jerseys & green paints should be the road uni's.  All the grass/dirt stained white pants by the end of the second half looks bad IMO.
