deluge of UCF posters.  Get ready for the pissing contests to begin.

As we all know, UCF:

1.  Tailgates better than USF.

2.  Has better T-shirts than USF.

3.  Is in a conference more deserving of a BCS bid than USF.

4.  Was more worthy of getting the Big East invite than USF.

5.  Reports attendance more accurately than USF.

6.  Will get an on campus stadium before USF.

7.  Played better teams early on than USF.

8.  Has better looking women than USF.

9.  Has a better looking campus than USF.

10.  Is in a better city than USF.

Thank god they never mention they play better on the field than USF because they know it's not true.

This is going to be a painful board to read this week.

UCF is one of the greatest 0-15 teams of all time, even a Bull could figure that out! ;D

Has ucf ever beaten a 1-A team with a winning record?

Well, some of the more rabid UCF fans over here seem to tell it like they have destroyed whole legions of I-A winning teams. The reality is somewhat different.

UCF wins over I-A teams with a winning record

1997 Toledo (9-2) (#31 in ESPN when UCF played them)

1998 @Toledo (7-5)

2001 UAB (6-5)

2002 @ Miami, OH (7-5)

BTW, USF's wins over I-A winning teams

2001 @Pitt (6-5 and won the Tangerine Bowl)

2002 N. Illinois (8-4)

2002 @N. Texas (7-5 and won the N.O. Bowl)

2002 So. Miss (7-5 and lost the Houston Bowl)

2002 #25 Bowling Green (9-3) (ESPN #25 at the time USF played them)

2003 Louisville (9-3 and lost the GMAC Bowl)

2003 @Memphis (8-4 and won the N.O. Bowl)

2004 @UAB (7-4 and lost the Hawai'i Bowl)

So USF has twice as many I-A quality wins over a half as long period of trying.

Only thing I have to add is that UCF beat a 6-6 Louisiana Tech team in 1998.

I have compiled the stats into an excel file over the last two years to whack-a-mole the inevitable UCF rabid posts spouting the same old myths. That way I only had to do it once and just trot out the stats when appropriate. :) I didn't have La Tech as they were a .500 team and the rabid UCF cry was 'Who have you beat that has a winning record?'
