...and no I am not referring to players who sleep in and miss their 8 AM classes.

List your top 3 under the radar players who you think will make an unexpected impact for your team.

Please stay away from current starters or established players. I am more interested in reading about those scout team players or unheralded underclassman who you think are ready to make a move.

3 sleepers, qualified as non-starters or established players.

I would go with:

1)  Clarence Howard - true freshman DE who is 6'4" and 260 lbs, with a 425LB bench and a 365LB clean.

2)  Willie Thornton - true sophomore WR out of Belle Glades who is small (5'10" 165 lbs) but very fast.  He will make some plays for us this year as a return man and/or at WR.

3)  Joe Burnett - true freshman DB who has the opportunity to advance up the depth chart.

There are a few others but these 3 seem to come to mind first.

What about USF?  What sleepers do you think you guys have?

I presume you mean new guys coming.  If that is the case then I expect Amarri Jackson, Taurus Johnson, and Rick Watson to have immediate impacts- obviously not including Carlton Hill who will see time in a Slash type role.  I don't know if you could call them sleepers.

Current roster players expected to splash on the scene in a big way this year are: Ben Moffett, Josh Julmiste, and Jarriett Buie, oh and I'd throw a fourth in as Marcus Edwards.

i wouldn't call Benzer a sleeper... he's a scholarship place kicker as a freshman.  He better be good (and watching his leg in HS, i'd say he is.... he can kick off very well too)

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
