No RED

too many red opponents and it is bad enough we already play in a Red stadium....

And the announcers coming in here wouldn't get it ...... Green or gold towels, if any.

I agree with BBB.  While red would seem natural in the tradition of "enraging" bulls, the announcers and opposing fans would never comprehend.  It would need to be green or gold, I would recommend gold.

It's crazy, but it just might work!

To avoid confusion, there would have to be a graphic on the jumbotron showing a red towel inciting a bull and the bull charging and tearing through it. Or something similar?

Just a thought.

good idea ragingbull, something like that would get the attention of the fans, and it might show them what the use of the towel is for.  do that every game a few times a game, and people will get the hang of it

That's what I meant. I don't want people wearing anything but green and gold. I want the red towel or shirt or whatever red to be used ONLY at the start of the game when the team makes it's entrance. It's just an idea I had.

Then it would be best to give those red flags to cheerleaders and band members down on the field. No way I trust our crowd, as a whole, yet to JUST wave them when the team makes an entrance....

A couple of things.

First, if we did this, it could be used anytime the fans want to get the team pumped up.  Initially, you might have to have something on the scoreboard and the PA anounce it.

Secondly, who gives a crap if anyone else "gets it".  if it's something that gets our fans and players hyped up, who cares if the other team understands.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
