Our inability to address this is quite concerning / frustrating etc.  I hope we will look back and attribute the trend to the youth of our squad and not a lack of discipline. Our schedule is tougher and we still dont have the talent n depth to match good 1A teams BUT we are improving.I look forward to EVERY year we have football.Go Bulls!!!!!! Wonder if Andre had anything to do with that. Nevertheless the D has to come much further in order for us to compete this year. With a decent Qb our offense will be much improved. Here are some facts for you:2000SIX 1aa teams, 0-2 vs 1A winning record teamsSouthern Miss(7-4) Middle Tenn (6-5)2001Three 1aa teams,1-2 vs 1A with winning records Pitt (7-5),Northern Illinois (6-5),Utah (7-4)2002TWO 1aa, 4-2 vs winning 1A teams, beat USM(7-6),Northern Illinois(8-4),Bowling Green(9-3) North Texas(8-5) loss to Arkansas (9-5),Oklahoma(12-2)2003TWO 1aa, went 2-2 vs winning teams, beating Memphis (9-4),Louisville(9-4) losses to TCU (11-2),USM(9-4)2004ONE 1aa, went 1-6 vs winning teams, beating UAB(7-5), losing to South Carolina(6-5),USM(7-5),Louisville (11-1),Cincinnati (7-5),Memphis (8-4), Pitt (8-4). Most of our best talent still young our juniors and seniors came in when we were still 1AA or just crossing over. This is why if you look at last years roster you see many underclassmen starting in the best situation we would have wanted like in 02 to be a team led by mostly seniors and juniors.I know it wont answer your post because you have made up your mind that we are regressing. But i guarantee that youll be the first one on the band wagon when tat turns around.
