Who on here has insight into Coach Strong?

I have to admit that I know very little of his coaching style or history, outside of what I've read and watched when he was at Texas (his final year). --I never cared about Louisville, so I didn't follow when he was there. His time with the lizards, right... I guess that's little smelly place up I-75 from Tampa, right?

 

What made Texas dump all that money on him to pull him from the redbirds? And was he a better defensive coordinator than Randy Shannon (when Shannon was at Miami)?

He recruited well and won a lot at UL(especially after Kregthorpe; he was ULs CWT) and he was a fantastic DC at UF. I remember Teddy Bridgewater’s recruitment being between UL and USF and UL giving him a shot as a freshman being the key over us and BJ.
