Compared to last season, I would be happy with the team making the conference tourney, we gotta make baby steps and that CRM is that man to do that

If we make the Big East Tourney, I'll be happy. It will mean we are not at the very bottom of the Big East. Lots of new facest and so forth, but the success of the program has to be defined by achievements, not excuses. I'm sure we will be picked at or near the very bottom in the new Big East. It's the staff's job -and the players'- to prove everybody's prediction wrong.

In my book it's almost mandatory: he needs to improve recruiting. The wins are really immaterial right now b/c people expect us to struggle. However, what they do expect us to do is to improve the talent level.

Nothing against the kids we brought in this year but we have to due better than that next year ...a lot better.

Something else to consider is that the NBA is pushing really hard for 20 year old age limit. That is going to make even tougher for USF, as BE teams are going to have a roster full of kids who would otherwise be opting for the NBA. Think about it, if players like Carmelo Anthony are forced to stay in school for a couple of years....USF is going to have to figure out how to match up with kids like this and of similar ability.

Got to have a few Big East wins...I'd be real pleased with 5 this first season.  I'd also be real pleased with seeing that the people of Tampa will come out for a Big East game....the majority of Tampa people just do not appear to be real sports fans.  If you had a concert to go with the game with a big name, they'd come out in droves.  They are primarily "entertainment" people.
