I think it's a terrible rule to have....that's not baseball...and if you're down 10, there's no cryin' in baseball anyway - play it out.

Those are timed games... baseball and softball have no time limit...

Assuming it could ever happen... a 50 - 0 game could take forever... compated to a 5-0 game.

While a 222-0 Football Game (and yes, there was one once) isn't really that much longer than a 22-0 game.

I understand that...I'm just saying from a competitive standpoint you wouldn't end a basketball game at the half with Duke up by 40 over Coastal Carolina.

"Time elapsed" is nowhere near as important as the competitive side of sport.

A Little League or Mens City League Slow Pitch rule should not be applied to Mens College Baseball.  You gotta play the game.   A lot can happen.

Now to get back on topic, I hope our Bulls win by the mercy rule the rest of the way.
