Southern Miss is getting pounded by TCU tonight 8-0 after 7, so it looks like we're in the sweet position to eliminate USM tomorrow.

If we do, then we have to beat #2 seed TCU twice on Saturday to advance to the Championship.

Tulane is in the driver's seat in the other bracket, only having to beat the ECU/Houston winner to get to the championship.

Congrats on the win.

Just curious - anyone else find the mercy rule lame?  That's the one thing I don't care for about C-USA baseball.  We were happy to get out of the A-Sun with its 7 inning double headers -and now this?!  I don't know if any other conferece even has this.

The one perk in a tourney would be when some teams are just flat out of pitching...but at least hold off until day 3!
