I just looked at the ending of the schedule and that was a very odd and rough last road trip. 1.) They play Barry (who?) twice in Miami in the same month. 2.) They played FSU in Tally on 2/26, then traveled to Miami on 12/28 to play Barry, then back to Tally to play FAMU on 3/1. No wonder they lost that game that's a haul! When our practices ended about 5:30 each afternoon in the gym, the girls team entered the gym to practice. The girls played their home games in the gym. We played our home games at Curtis Hixon Hall in downtown Tampa, the armory in Tampa and even at the Bayfront Center in St. Petersburg. That was a long time ago

Maybe a JV team, or some form of club team. It was clear we went in slowly, all the games were in Florida. As a side note, the first coach was the only coach in USF history to have a career winning record at USF, until Jose.

We worked together in the 1975-76 season. Lots of fun and wonderful memories! The Sun Dome was only a dream back then. I was also the student manager of the first Golden Brahman's men's basketbull team in 1971-72. Edited January 9, 2017 by CoralSpringsBull Want to add more to my post. I was there 82-86 in the early days of the Dome. In fact, I was one of the student employees for a while. Got to see a lot of games/ concerts/ wrestling/ etc in those days Racking my brain, but I can't say for sure if the ladies played in the dome then, or in the gym - too much water under that bridge... CoralSpringsBull Posted January 9, 2017 Group: Member Topic Count: 23 Content Count: 393 Reputation: 33 Days Won: 0 Joined: 06/19/2004 Share Posted January 9, 2017 Yes, charsibb, I certainly am ANCIENT. My freshman year, 1969-70, soccer was our biggest sport. Homecoming weekend centered on a soccer game. Few people outside of the Tampa area heard of the University of South Florida. I'm amazed that wherever I go now and I am wearing a USF shirt or hat, people say "go Bulls to me". I love the fact that people know of our school because of our athletic teams. GO BULLS!!! MBB ruled the roost when I was there. And the club team for Ultimate, oh yeah! It really is sad that John Allen was so misguided. Sports have certainly put us on the radar for folks outside the bay area, and it's 80+ percent due to football. I'm educating a whole new west coast fanbase out here, teaching "Go Bulls" wherever I can.

You and I graduated in the same year. What program were you in (I was political science)?
