Flowers will be the next Russell Wilson.

More comparisons:

Jackson - Pass Att 382 / Comp 220 / Yds per attempt 8.9 / Rushes 234 / Yds per rush 6.6

Flower- Pass Att 299 / Comp 184 / Yds per attempt 8.5 / Rushes 177 / Yds per rush 8.1

Because Louisville has a better defense, Jackson had more offensive plays.  I think they compare favorably.

Very interesting stats, thanks for taking the time to compile them.

Jackson also padded his stats in those first couple of games when he should have been benched. 7 touchdowns vs Charlotte.

Just curious, on the running side of the comparison, how does tge UL running back's stats compare to Mack's. Flowers shares the running with Mack and both are over 1,000 yard rushing.

Jackson had a couple of games where he was behind and had to throw over 40 times.   Going by yards per completion, if attemps were even the stats are fairly close.

I think their running games are fairly similar. Both incredibly dynamic.

I think Jackson is a little better passer, but not by much. He struggled with accuracy too.

I believe Jackson has a lot more turnovers as well. From my count he had 5 fumbles and 3 more picks. Not sure on QF's fumble numbers, but I don't remember many

The rest of UL had 1523 yards, no other rusher broke 1000 yards.  The rest of USF had 2176 yards, with Mack at 1137 yards.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
