I absolutely cherish my experiences with this program from 1996-2002. While there were bigger things in our future, going places like the Citadel and Cumberland were special days to be around USF Football.

We used to track the evolution of USF's biggest win, here are my thoughts:

Kentucky Wesleyan 97(first game)

Troy State 2000 (#1 I-AA team in America)

UConn 2000 (1st win of I-A program)

Pitt 2001 

Louisville 2005 (#9)

Auburn 2007

WVU 2007 (#5)

Sounds about right.

Hopefully the next line in that list will be the AAC championship win

Blast from the past.  I got that ESPN College Football Almanac for Christmas that year and went straight to the USF section and noticed the error on our inaugural game.  I sent an email to Rece Davis saying how it was terrible research for the so called worldwide leader in Sports and advised them to change that for future publications.  Not sure if that ever happened but he did respond to me and apologized for the error.  Best thing was his signature, it just said RD.
