We are about to become the only former Big East school in the American and we have no one to blame but Doug Woolard and maybe even Judy Genshaft, as much as I respect her.

Can also blame lousy fan support. At least Harlan is honest about it and flat out said that USF needs to grow fan base before having a chance to be invited. Yeah, Cincy & Uconn put in their work and deserve it over us. We wish them well and will have to keep building.

And lousy fan support comes from not winning football games for 5 years, and having a dumpster fire basketball program at the same time. When all the major sports are playing bad the fans will not want to come. UConn at least has a consistently successful basketball program to make up for their terrible football team.

But they sure came out for 2007 year. Too many bandwagon fans. It is sad that USF does not average 40-50k year in and year out. If they did, they would be in.

I agree. If Jim Leavitt had not been fired we would probably be in a better conference and our fan base would still be in the 40-50k range. Sigh...

No offense, but comments like this make me laugh.  You have no idea where would be if CJL had not been fired.

None taken, but can't deny we would've been better off without Skippy. Especially during conference realignments

So which school would we have jumped ahead of?
