Being that recruiting it Taggart's strongest ability, I would think he's already preparing for that.

It's hard to tell by recruiting boards.. remember, Mack was recruited as an "Athlete" originally to play CB.

Barr has the ability to be that replacement as long as he continues to develop.

Great news!  I was a bit concerned and missed the tweet from Joey.  We have some young receivers, but no one else ready to be the go to guy that I can see.

This is great news since I thought it was a knee injury. I'm hoping transfer Marquez Valdes-Scantling can step up after sitting out the year. Barr could be good, but he's not the same type of receiver Adams is.

He's a true freshman so yes he's currently not the same WR but the skill set is there. Great speed, elusive after the catch, and the ability to stretch the field. Earlier in the season they used him in some of the same ways we use Adams and he flashed similar ability but also dropped some big balls and lacked the strength to get away from some arm tackles etc. He can definitely grow into a replacement for Adams but he's still a calf learning on the fly and needs to get stronger and more comfortable competing at this level.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
