All of USF's remaining opponents won this week, except for SMU and UCF. Five of them had about 300 yards or more rushing in dominant wins.

Florida State 59 - Texas State 16
> Golston did well with 4 TD passes and no turnovers, going 19/25 for 302 yards. Cook added 156 yards on the ground. The Seminoles defense allowed 300 yards but only 4 of 17 third down conversions.

Maryland 50 - Richmond 21
> The Terrapins struggled passing, with Hills going 12/21 for 138 and 2 TDs and 1 INT, but added 341 yards on the ground to pound the Spiders.

Memphis 63 - Missouri State 7
> Like many FBS teams, the Tigers jumped out to a big lead and then ran the ball. Starting QB Paxton Lynch was 8 of 12 for 78 yards and 1 TD - but the running game added more than 300 yards on the ground.

Syracuse 47 - Rhode Island 0
> The Orange started slowly with an interception followed by two three-and-outs, and lost their starting QB to a torn Achilles. They racked up a safety and a pick-six on defense, holding their opponent to 64 total yards and only 2 first downs.

Connecticut 20 - Villanova 15
> The Huskies struggled for most of the game, and was actually trailing in the 4th quarter. Both teams had just over 300 total yards, and the Huskies were 6/13 on third downs and only managed 2.7 yards per carry on the ground.

Baylor 56 - Southern Methodist 21
> The Mustangs tried to hang with a top team for a half, trailing only 28-21 and shutting out the Bears in the 2nd quarter - before letting the game slip away in the 2nd half. SMU Quarterback Matt Davis was 16/23 for 166 2 TDs and 2 INTs, plus was the dominant rusher with 115 of the team's 203 yards on the ground. The SMU defense allowed more than 700 yards, including more than 400 yards passing - despite only being on the field for 22 minutes of the game.

Navy 48 - Colgate 10
> The Midshipmen stayed true to form, with the QB going 3/6 for 67 yards through the air -- while the team had 371 yards rushing. The Raiders managed more than 300 yards, including almost 200 yards rushing.

> Pirates Quarterback Blake Kemp went 29/37 for 230 yards and RB Chris Hairston added 154 yards and 4 TDs on the ground, as both teams rolled over 400 yards of total offense each.

Temple 27 - Pennsylvania State 10
> The Owls defense sacked Hackenberg TEN times, beating the Nittany Lions for the first time since 1941 with a dominating defense. The Lions only managed 77 yards on 27 carries (2.9 ypc), and only 103 yards passing (2.9 yards per attempt) -- the QBR for Hackenberg was 3.2! -- and went 2 of 13 on third downs. Offensively, the Owls were balanced with 168 yards passing and 145 yards rushing. Temple had the ball for 36 minutes!

> The Bearcats thoroughly dominated with 636 total yards on offense, with 296 yards on the ground. Gunner Kiel was 18/22 for 233 yards and 2 TDs, while RB Tion Green added 127 yards.

Florida International 15 - Central Florida 14
> A blocked field goal prevented the Knights from a comeback win that has been their signature the past two years. Justin Holman was a respectable 23/34 for 249 yards and 2 TDs, but UCF only rushed for 46 yards on the ground (1/5 per carry). The Panthers managed almost 400 total yards against a rebuilding defense.

This post is appreciated. I like to pay attention to the opponents as well and you saved me lots of time and clicks. Its seems that everybody we play this year can score, but none of them dominated defensively.
