  1. Captain obvious, but it's all about the laws of majority rule for E$#@. Whatever gets them more viewers (=income). Only a great sports story trumps that priority. If we go psycho viral this year like 2007, they won't ignore us. But we haven't done much to impress yet.
  2. Cowboys are no match for Bulls!! Go get 'em guys!
  3. Absolutely! I was stoked to hear CWT actually uses his TEs and RBs to catch-n-run. Hope we can put up some decent YAC to keep the D honest.
  4. 72 to 28% now. I threw a bunch of votes in, love our Bull in the china shop vid--good ending.
  5. We've also been hearing from SpartanMacks and other MSU fans that their O is not all that potent, but their hopes are strong on their D. Sounds from your comments that's exactly how it played out against WMU. Had to like that Rutgers game, huh? Talk about choaching...
  6. After suffering thru a ucif blowout, I'm ready to start this thing!
  7. ^ Hope you're right, but everyone's hungry at the beginning of the season and this is a proving game for McNeese. I think they'll throw their best in the beginning, so if we get out of the 1Q with a 10+ point lead, we should be okay to dictate the rest of the game. If I'm on the edge of my seat in the 4th Q like I was with Nevada, it doesn't bode well for the rest of the year...
  8. That is a fair assessment. It would be more accurate if it were "we haven't seen much upside." ...or even more accurately, "we haven't seen ANYthing this year yet." So we just don't know until it shakes out on the field. But we do have the two "upsides" of CWT's choice (he's a QB), and the team's choice. Why not trust it until you have a reason not to?
  9. Not sure why OP even asks this questions. The fans' reactions are as wide a spectrum as the fans' personalities. If we lose to McNeese, there will already be people lining up on the "fire" bandwagon, and there'll be just as many saying we all just need to chill. I do feel like this year we have a little school honor at stake, though, and CWT already sees that and knows the haters will emerge at some point. 2 days til it all starts!! Just 2 days!!
  10. preseason, on paper, UCF can probably make that mark. But when the season hits and they have to be "up" for every game, I'm not sure they'll make it. They have a lot to prove this year.
  11. Hang in there, feardabull, I think you'll be delightfully surprised at Matt's capabilities in this game. He rose to the challenge and won the starting spot, so he's stronger upstairs than a lot of us are giving him credit.
  12. I'm heavy on the optimism at this point too, but I think I have a LOT more realistic expectations with this staff--that was my takeaway from the Holtz regime, not to put too much blind faith in something new. Much too early to feel we've turned the corner, but hope is appropriate! I'm ready to see what we have, thankfully we don't have to wait long! Go Bulls!
  13. Good post and good read. Helps me accept the decision a little more, and makes me want to root for him more. With CWT and the team's confidence (making him captain), it looks like maybe he's ready to cash in on his potential. Go Matt, be even better than the legendary Matt before you!
  14. Sucks to be a Western Kentucky fan in this, what the heck is that thing!? Looks kinda like the monster from the ol' Bugs Bunny cartoon, just needs some white tennis shoes. I know they're the Hilltoppers, and I guess it's still more original than the "hey I'm a Power Ranger" next to him! Gotta love Rocky, looks great!
  15. USF does have its share of eye candy, it's temptation enough just walking across the campus!
  16. Well, maybe coach is just wanting to limit Giddins' playing time for now. I just want the biggest freaks on the ends to make that QB drizzle in his tights. I defer to the coaches on who's best, just seemed a bit of a surprise since camp fallout was that Giddins is ready for battle.
  17. That's what all gamblers in denial say! Just kiddin. I've got too much emotion brewing over the first game anyway, can't add more risk...go Bulls!
  18. Should be more animated than Skipper. So many expectations on him, though, he's bound to fall short somewhere but so far it's nothing but good PR for the Bulls. Can't wait to put it to the test on the field!
  19. I dunno, maybe you're right but BJ's had more time with the playbook than Wallace...plus he's proven he can run the offense well enough to score. Guess we'll see what Harbaugh's thinking on Thurs nite.
  20. We definitely took some cuts yesterday, with (expected) Carlton Mitchell cut from the Bucs, & George Baker from Titans. Confirmed cuts of Bonani, Landi, & Estenor but it looks like the rest of our guys are hanging in for now!
  21. And scrubs, 2's, 3's or whatever, it's still pressure and he's handling it nicely. Funny to watch him unable to turn the corner on NFL speed, though--not used to seeing that, but it's not the BE anymore, toto!
  22. I wonder if Rowdy, the Cowboy, is going and bringing his rope???? Doc Better hide the rope... jk
