  1. So far Golesh looks like he will save Kelly's job. If November home games are meaningful that's a big win.
  2. he can go for it on 4th down anytime he wants...he's my coach...5 years i've awaited
  3. If not for that bad 2nd half against Western Kentucky, USF has looked as good as any team vying for that NY6 spot...That first game really hurt us.
  4. Better to win in front of 10,000 than lose in front of 65,000. I had a great time too
  5. He deserves all the praise. It felt like 2006-2009 again seeing all those sacks and TFLs. That Rice QB will be checking where no zero is before every snap.
  6. We need 2 out of the next three to keep reasonable bowl game hope alive. Hard to fathom a non losing record in October, it's been so long
  7. I was concerned with the Coach Go hire being another Offensive Coordinator with no Head coach experience that he wouldn't be defensive minded enough. So far I've been pleasantly surprised. Losing sucks but seeing a defense that's not painful to watch gives me something I haven't had for 4 years...hope in late September that November games won't be meaningless.
  8. that 4th and 16 I think would've been a 50+ yard field goal which to me would be better risk/reward but coach knows what our kicker can do and how well we can protect a block in that situation so I'm fine with the aggressive call. My concern was entirely the lack of creativity on 1st 2nd and 3rd downs...looked like '89 techno bowl four plays playbook
  9. I've got two extra tickets for Bama tomorrow if anybody needs some. They cost $65
  10. He didn't like the int celebrations where the defense ran over to the student section to celebrate. I think that's a SEC vs AAC culture thing. I think the AAC refs are used to it but in the SEC that's probably a delay of game penalty. I can understand why he didn't like it. It is a waste of energy for a defense with little depth that spends majority of the game on the field. I rewatched the first half of the game and there was a scuffle on the home sideline where coach bear hugged our player and pulled him out of a heated scuffle with a FAMU player...I'm sure that's the incident that he was really pissed about
  11. absolutely, three yards back and do a three step drop....and still get rid of it in 3 seconds
  12. he might as well wait til after Bama game to play. If he has a bad shoulder can't blame him for not wanting to get sacked 5 times a game yet.
  13. This thread has a brilliant implication. USF Football can only be successful by doing the complete unexpected. Every single victory has never been more important than it is today. Anything less than bowl eligibility is complete failure if we wan't an OCS. This is a win or die thread and i fully approve the message. Sometime last year, CJS said (paraphase) "I'm disapointed we lost, but let's not act like we were favored to win". USF needs wins, not excuses. CJS is gone, but it should never be forgotten that he made such a pathetic statement. Bravo @Bull Matrix
  14. My faith that Coach Go will be better than CJS...8/10...I'm ready for a new beginning
  15. The biggest hype/dud season was 2012...USF was predicted to have a bounce back year and many believed would finish 2nd behind the Ville...a massively disappointing season that we've never fully recovered from. 2012 Big East Football Predictions and Futures Odds WWW.DOCSPORTS.COM 2012 Big East football predictions with futures odds and predicted order of...
  16. Sep 23 - Nov 4 is the critical 6 game stretch that will likely define the season because in absolute terms it's a weak schedule. Coach Go has to look notably better in that stretch than CJS did the last three years. Otherwise we'll have two empty stadium games in November and we can't have that if we're talking about a 340 million dollar stadium. I don't see how VPMK can keep his job under 5 wins this year.
  17. I saw this meme today and it instantly reminded me what I've been reading on this thread for the last 11 years.
  18. If GB wants to keep BB on the sidelines then he'll need to have a good 3rd down conversion %. Can't go 3 and out against WKU. Move the ball or lose the job.
  19. I just completed this quiz. My Score 60/100 My Time 89 seconds
  20. Makes me wonder out of 35K capacity, how many seats reserved for students? 6k would be my guess. That leaves 29k seats to sell. If I had to guess 15-20k season ticket sales in year 1. that leaves 9k for the mini pack and single game deadheads which I presume in year one there would be increased single game interest for those wanting to visit the new stadium. The challenge will be supply not demand, as usual.
  21. 5. Unless that D is waay better than last year they won't be called Bullsharks. they gotta earn that. DBs jumping routes, DLs getting in the backfield and chasing QBs, I wanna see agressive schemes on D. They were dead last in '22. If they blitz all out and get burned for a TD so be it. Nickel defense or soft zone or whatever that was last year didn't stop anybody. try to disrupt the QB every down or get picked apart. last year they choose get picked apart
