  1. Time for Bench. Eveld is good kid. Smart. Knows when to throw away. But Eveld has slow feet and slow release and our oline can't protect him in the pocket.
  2. MSU and Houston are my road trips this year. Even in good years, thats a serious money and time commitment. Everybodies situation is different but all should continue support. If that means all you can do is 1.99 tickets and watching on TV then suck it up and keep supporting. **** happens.
  3. Sidelines have been flat for at least two years. I remember Chattanooga last year the game was close and key players were sitting and looked totally flat looking
  4. No need to offer upper level or endzone when season ticket sales at 20k. We only had 28k season in 2008 so im not sure why they even offer upper level season tickets. Im fine with the upper level if they sell out the lower bowl first.
  5. We just need to beat UCF. Just game plan every week on beating them.
  6. Bandwagoners? We're down to 22K actual attendance and falling. We've been losing decent fans steadily. Most of the bandwagoners washed out in 2008 and 2009. People are reasonably pissed off. The unconditional fans could probably fit in the soccer stadium. That's just the way it is.
  7. Funny you should say that. My guess is he will leave him in the game to throw another pick. Letting Floyd back on the field in the third Quarter for one last pick was the biggest fail of the opening weekend of CFB. If Floyd gets pulled mid way in 2nd Qtr maybe he just falls to third string. He's behind Tommy Eveld for sure now.
  8. Who's the Dline coach now? Maybe they should've kept Kevin Patrick. O line not so good either.
  9. He's stuck with this team through 3 position changes riding the bench. Now a fifth year guy, I'd be a bright spot of the team this year if he holds on at fullback and has a great season. He has been a pleasant surprise for sure. Rooting for guys like Eppes, Eveld, and Shaw who can close out their careers strong is what we're left with to be positive about.
  10. Woolard should go. I don't know what his contract situation is but his days should be numbered. Our program has dark days ahead with lower revenues and I'd like to see a change at the top.
  11. I know hindsight is 20/20. But I think passing up Al Golden for Skip Holtz will go down as an all time f***up for our program.
  12. We watched the whole fireworks show in lot 1. That was the only entertaining part of the evening.
  13. USF should close the Upper bowl and the end zone seating next year at Rayjay.
  14. I would expect less than 22k in a couple of weeks, unless FAU brings up their commuter base. The crowd numbers will drop big for sure. That showing last night was already pathetic. At this rate, we'll only need a 15k stadium. The program has contracted steadily since 2008 and that's sure to continue.
  15. I bought a gold shirt at the bookstore yesterday. they had a whole rack of them for 19.95 I think. It has the Green logo on the front and back. Never thought I'd buy a gold USF shirt but it's actually pretty nice.
  16. We almost always are the first car in Lot 1 right when the gates open. Under the Big Tree in the corner close to where the band buses usually park. We've tailgated the last few years with some Friends that were USF Faculty but they're moving to New Mexico so there's room under that big tree this season.
  17. I wouldn't mind seeing UTSA on our away schedule. I'd like to have a reason to visit San Antonio. Georgia State is another program that I'd to see grow into an away schedule worthy opponent just to weaken the Ga Tech/ACC hold on Atlanta.
  18. He should move to defensive back. Looks like a great athlete. Maybe he could be a special teams ace. I just don't see him leading this team at QB. I'd feel better about the fumbles and picks last year if he had mixed in one or two TD passes. If he wins the QB job and does well I would be amazed.
  19. I thought they demolished the AstroDome years ago. I saw it once in 1986. if I remember right it was visible from I-10.
  20. I'll go with 7-6 also. The difference will have to be the ability to close games on defense. On offense, no holding the ball like a loaf of bread and no desperation throws when scrambling for your life. Another net negative turnover year and we'll be 4-8 if we're lucky.
  21. hope he'll be a great coach. Best of luck to him. Good to see he's coaching offense first. I remember going to Pitt on a Thursday night and watching Ray Graham make him and most of our defense look awfully silly. I had a nice two mile cold walk in rain after that. I usually DVR and watch a replay of the game when I get home. To this day, I refuse to watch that one. He also had an interception at Notre Dame I think so he had some good moments too. We're definitely gonna need good coaching on the o-line with all new backs. I thought Coach Shank was one of the few bright spots from the last staff and was sorry to see him go but am looking forward to what the new staff can do.
  22. I was there in 2011. We're skipping this year but prob will go back in 2015 (assuming they're not in the ACC by then). I've got a home theater room in my house with a 120" screen that I installed right before the Nevada game last year and haven't watched an away game on it since then. I'm actually looking forward to doing another watch party for UConn. We've had such terrible luck with UConn so a last minute victory would be very nice. That 2011 scoop and score after the fumble still haunts me. It was such a gift wrapped victory.
