jeez you guys are are haters. I highly doubt ESPN bloggers made those errors on purpose and can guarantee you it happens to the other conferences as well. It is shoddy work? Yes, but again it happens to others. Don't get me wrong, I'm part of the " ESPN conspiracy theory" in which they are trying to undermine non P5, but not the the extent of the blog.

Do they care about college athletics at all? I'm sure there are plenty students on campus now that just don't give a rat's ass about college sports so maybe you've got some of them up there ... This^. I have a cousin that graduated from UF and he doesn't follow college sports at all. I mean he's happy they won national championships and all, but he doesn't actually follow it. It all depends on the individual. I have plenty of friends that graduated USF with me and they don't follow USF much. As in my cousin's case, they are happy to hear if we won something or pulled in a great recruit, but they don't actually follow.

Miami would make a lot of sense for the Big 10. They've cleaned up their academics which weren't all that great in the 80's and 90's to now under Shalala and they're steadily becoming a research powerhouse as well. Miami is by far the best college in Florida academically. The Florida research "big 3" is now UF, USF, and Miami. Now if only USF had some football history, they could be a B1G target as well... Thats pretty subjective. There are all kind of metrics to base such a claim. Once you agree on metrics, you go from there. Academically, its hard to not say its New College. 87 percent of graduates being accepted into masters and Ph.D programs, 85% into law school, The Wall Street Journal has it as the #2 public feeder school of elite law, medical and business schools. 1/3 of all their science grads since 1967 hold either an M.D.. or Ph.D. I was going to say New College, but its a small school that most people never heard of. If it were just the big schools on overall terms of incoming students and their outcomes from those schools(i.e. grad/employment rates), UF is the best college/university in FL. Miami is 2/3 depending on COL.

That's one thing I miss about Miami, where they are everywhere. At FIU, they have a Pollo Tropical in their food court area. Wile working there (before working at USF) that was my place of choice. ...But Colombian food is tops Ditto on Colombian food. Pollo Tropical is not good IMO.
