  1. Agreed. Sometimes I wondered if I was sitting at an FSU home game...if the split was 50/50 it sure as hell didn't feel like it.
  2. I got the email. I plan on joining others for their tailgate, so I'm going to take advantage of the fact that my workplace is nearby and park there.
  3. I'm in section 124. I intend to stand this entire game... pity the section is no where near as energetic as the students section.
  4. That would denote a huge ST or defense play to help us out early. I like your thinking!
  5. It is this competence from B.J. Daniels that has me entertaining hopes of a legendary day from him to upset the Noles this week. We literally have not much else that will allow us to upset a team like the Seminoles, unless our defensive line plays like it's 2009.
  6. A pretty bad defense? May I remind you that this team was #6 in the country in sacks last year? The players responsible for that success are still here. How do you go from having one of the nation's best defensive lines to having no pass rush whatsoever?
  7. Hey, at least you guys didn't have to live through those emotional roller coasters.
  8. we had some pretty rough times in the CJL years too. But in 2012 it is a different landscape then it is was in 1997. atleast we don't have any Brian Fishers on the team. It is no secret that Leavitt built his team on non-qualifiers and second and third chance guys. these are players that Skip Holtz won't touch with a 10 ft pole Yep, back in the day we used to take 2-3 star players and develop them into NFL players. Now we take 4 star players and develop them into Sun Belt quality starters. Hey don't knock the Sun Belt. I'm not sure we'd beat ULM right now.
  9. Kirby Smart? I wish. I'd settle for a hot DC from a BCS conference.
  10. They surely held their own today. WKU upsets Kentucky, Louisiana-Monroe and Troy take Auburn and Mississippi State to OT.
  11. Guys! You are overblowing things. Nevada killed us for 15 minutes. We shut them down for 20 minutes, they got back in it and then we rallied. Don't get me wrong, I'm unhappy that Terrence Mitchell handed back the momentum, but you act like we scored four touchdowns in 5 minutes and did nothing for most of the game.
  12. You know something? I am no longer concerned about what Greg Schiano chooses to do with Rutgers. He is not on the other sideline now-he is not the bane of USF's existence, unless of course he's making large donations to Rutgers athletics. He's the Buccaneers coach now. Granted, he was a whiny little girl on the sideline, but I see the class act he's put on with Legrand and how he's chosen to change the culture of the Bucs football team. Let him do as he pleases.
  13. I wouldn't say they outplayed us for 56 minutes guys. We pretty much owned the second quarter and the first part of the third, as well as those pivotal last few minutes. That said, ten minutes to go, I was having a hard time keeping the radio on in the car. It felt like we'd reached our limits. Watching Andre Davis blow up like that capped a pretty good day.
  14. Give it to both guys. Let's face it, if the defense doesn't get the Nevada offense off the field, game's over. And if the offense doesn't get those touchdowns, we lose anyway.
  15. I will say one thing in his favor regarding all those high passes today. Remember what they were saying about the thin air causing passes to sail? One wonders if it also causes his passes to get higher than they normally would. Five drops is a problem too, but I think next week will tell us a lot more about his accuracy.
  16. The last time we did this was in 2008 against Kansas...granted that was at home...this was on the road against a good team that was almost unbeatable at home.
  17. I'm still wondering why we shifted Popek from LT. Was his backup THAT good to shift him away from the second most important position on the offense? The tackles were getting pushed back regularly against UTC. This is one experiment I'm wondering what Skip was thinking, especially with as well as the oline played last year.
  18. Agreed Gismo. At some point ESPN will cross the line from unethical into illegal and the Big east needs to be able to catch them out.
  19. I can't help but think this may help us with Travis Johnson. Ruff is a good recruit and he may well get us Johnson too...which would be awesome.
  20. Don't think for a second that they wouldn't pick off Boise State in a heartbeat. They're a much better geographic fit for the Pac-12 and there's absolutely no question BSU would go there-the money is way better than it is in the Big East. SDSU could come into play as well. After that, not sure.
