  1. I was really hoping that for the Senior Game we went to gold helmet, green jersey and green pants. Just like the old days. Uniforms are a big part of tradition. It would be nice to see some consistency. NO GOLD PANTS!!!
  2. Ok here is my 2 cents now that we need a coach. Forget the high profile names. We need a guy that cares about the program and knows how to win. We also need a guy that won't be afraid to bring in great assistant coaches. We also need a guy that knows florida and can recruit. Dan fits that bill. We had a rocking defense when he a Wally were here. He loves the school and his daughter is an Alumni. He has a home in sarasota and has good relations with lots of high schools. I would assume he wouldn't cost 2 million a year and we can then afford to bring in the best assistants. This wouldn't be a stepping stone for him. He would be here til he retires. I know him personally and he is the best of Leavitt and Holtz. He is exactly what the program needs!!! PAY ATTENTION DOUG!!!!
  3. Come on everyone let's turn I-75 Green and Gold!!! Miami is less than 5 hours away so no excuses. BULLS Outfitter is putting on a massive Tailgate. There will be music, games, prizes, food and drink. We aren't charging but donations are gratefully accepted. We are meeting at the Super Walmart near the stadium. 9am to 9:30 will be the meet up time. We will all then enter the Stadium Parking lots from there together. The idea is to enter so we can take up two rows. We will bring the 28 ft Rocky so if you don't meet us early look for him. Updates will be via Facebook so if you haven't friend requested BULLS Outfitter please do so. Click attending on the tailgate event if you are coming. As always GO BULLS!!!
  4. Hey everyone for those of you that are going to the game I would like to invite you to our Tailgate. We will be providing food, drink, games and music. There will also be some raffle prizes. The menu and start time be determined after we know the game's start time. For more info friend request Bulls Outfitter in facebook. This is a free tailgate but donations are greatly appreciated. It takes a lot of work and money to do this. We do it because we love our bulls and all of you! I'd like to thank everyone that helps me put these events on!
  5. The indoor facility can be part of the stadium. Incorporate it into the design and the costs. The money for a stadium can be done against a bond. The search for Donors can be an ongoing process. If we can find money for the SunDome then we can find money for this. Let's face it Basketball doesn't drive Athletics in Florida. Football is King!
  6. Orlando Bull, You are siting one game and they were the #2 team at that time. Of course it will be loud. However it isn't ever that way normally. You know I am right. As much as I hate UCF's stadium it is loud!!! I am not suggesting we build something like that but it needs to be something that keeps the sound in the stadium. We have amazing facilities for everything else. Now is the time to start for football. It will take a few years for fundraising and then a few years to build. So start now and when the contract with RayJay expires we will be ready!
  7. Believe me guys. We build it they will come! lol The Tampa campus alone has over 35K students plus faculty and staff. If we build a 50-55K seat stadium we will pack it. Also something most people don't know is a lot of the folks that sit between the 40's have been grandfathered in from way back on their donation level. While the rest of us pay current rates. Some of these people only pay $500 a year to sit around the 50 yard line. Building a new facility would change that and everyone would be paying what's fair. That is a lot of additional revenue for the school. I am also a proponent of charging for something I know won't be popular. A lot of colleges charge students for tickets. I think a $5 ticket is reasonable. Let's say we have 14K students and at $5 each we are talking about $70K per game. That's between 420K and 490K depending on if we have 6 or 7 home games. We can use that money to provide promotional items for the games. To encourage school spirit. Heck even to have good half time or after game shows. The money could even be used to send the band to all the away games. With the way the economy is now is the time to build. Contractors are building things at prices that we most likely wont see again. They are taking jobs just to keep workers busy. A stadium would revitalize Fowler Ave. It would create that College Atmosphere that Tampa lacks. Will building one make the Team better. No but I believe it helps with Recruiting. Kids like to be part of something. Tradition is Huge!!! Winning will come. I believe Coach Holtz will right the ship. No worries there. If you feel as I do I encourage you to write letters both to Judy Genshaft and Doug Woolard.
  8. Never really commented on the OCS idea but here is my 2 cents. For those of you that are in Love with RayJay I would make the assumption that you also don't travel to many away games. The atmosphere at place like, UF, Auburn, FSU, PSU and many of the other locations our team has played are electric!!! Tradition, Spirit and Pride go hand in hand with an OCS. You think our Studen Section is large now. Just imagine if they didn't have to drive to Ray Jay. Tradition, well how about the Team walking down the street to the stadium surrounded by fans while the band follows behind. How about a real Bull? How about Alumni seeing the campus the way it is now and not when they graduated. The campus is amazing and most haven't been there in years. Spirit, well how about playing in a stadium that gets loud? RayJay doesn't get very loud and is not all that hostile a place for the opposing team to play. Pride, There is just a great sense of attachment and pride that comes along with playing in your own stadium. Imagine not seeing a sea of Red or Bucs signage everywhere. Let alone a pirate ship lol. For USF to become what all of us really what an OCS is a must. We are large enough. We can raise the money. If we want it bad enough we can make it happen. Forget the Club Area. If you want aircondition then buy a Suite or watch the game at home. This is College Football not the NFL. I for one can't wait us to PROTECT OUR HOUSE not the Bucs!!!
  9. Well everyone Miami is the game we decided to do a big away game tailgate at. The planning is just getting started. We are going to do something similar to Notre Dame. We will have a cornhole competition and beer pong for prizes. Food, Beer, music and fun! As always donations and volunteers are appreciated. Stay tuned for updates!
  10. Last home game I was extremely pissed at my section and others. People if you don't think those kids need your excitement then you are sadly mistaken!!! Get up off your asses and yell and cheer! If you want to sit in your seat and look depressed and make no noise. Well I say to you stay home! This team needs all of us right now. Not just the die hards! I just donated 100 Rally towels to the team so that they can help get the fans in there seats up and excited. I bleed green and gold! If you are a true fan then stand with me saturday and show the team you care!!!
  11. Bullsfan11 I think this is a great idea. Please let me know where to send the email.
