  1. We are 4 deep at DT this year with quality players. I think we will see a change in that pattern.
  2. I think Nevada may find it incredibly difficult to run on our D. We're stout up the middle and quick on the ends. Over agressiveness may be one thing they could exploit with draws, delayed hand-offs and counter runs. Discipline will be key.
  3. How many of your receivers run in the 4.3/4.4 range? That kind of speed could pose a significant problem for Nevada who has an experienced but not overly fast secondary. We have a legit 4X100 relay team playing for our football team. 3 recievers (Grifin, Mitchell, Hopkins) and one DB (Webster) all run/ran track. Dunkley (another WR) is also up there, as is Lamar (a RB).
  4. 17/26 with 3 TDs through the air... seems pretty consistent to me. No reason for his two turnovers against a 1-AA team. Do you also take issue with his 20 yard TD run? The man accounted for 4 TDs and threw some excellent deep balls (even threw in a pump fake on one of them). BJ's consistency is not the isssue with the ofense.
  5. The Pistol offense puts a ton of pressure on outside linebackers and d-ends. Preparing for the Nevada offense in one week is next to impossible so I would suspect Skip worked in some Nevada stuff during fall camp. But if he didn't, it could be a very challenging matchup for USF despite having a speed advantage. USF's best defnsive players are OLB and DEs
  6. 17/26 with 3 TDs through the air... seems pretty consistent to me.
  7. The deep ball is probably his best throw. He has had trouble with slants and short stuff that requires touch. BJ Daniels is at his best when 1) he's running in the open field and 2) throwing the ball deep.
  8. Great point. Its hard to get past the negatives sometimes.
  9. He did a fine job fielding punts and kicks in 2010, and personally, I'd rather have him back there as a return specialist as opposed to risking injury to my #1 WR (Mitchell) or my #1 corner (Webster) which is what is going on right now.
  10. True, but he did have it secured at the end of that run when he took the contact near the goal line.
  11. Throw deep off the back foot in the face of pressure? No thanks, I'll pass.
  12. Yes. The kid is a dynamic runner and an improved passer. He needs to make things happen with his feet if this team is to excel.
  13. I was happy to see the press coverage. What a concept. I'm used to seeing our corners playi f 5 yards off the receivers.
  14. we should have upgraded a qb the last 2 years we standed pat in college football qb is the most important player on offensive side of the ball qb is the key to winning without a top qb you dont win championships Help is forth-coming: http://insider.espn.go.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/evaluation/_/id/144391/asiantii-woulard As for Louisville, they will be hard pressed to march 99, 85 and 90 yards on consecutive drives against our D. Kentucky is, and almost always has been a pushover on D. Bridgewater looked **** good though.
  15. This. Just unleash the kid already ... not like he's got to stay in the pocket and increase his NFL draft stock as a QB. Wow. We've found common ground.
  16. I think the offense needs to revolve around him. With no running game in sight, he is the only hope to keep defenses honest.
  17. Maybe it's just because I was watching on my phone, but D'vo and McFarland are some physical specimens. D'vo looked real good running with the ball, and both really stoodout on the field. Hopefully they both develop and see some PT, because there are some obvious physical mismatches to be exploited.
  18. being a fan might be a choice for you. I expected a different coaching staff. one that has a team well prepared and firing on all cylinders. one that goes for the throat and wants to put a team away. I didn't get that. I got more of the same. Going for th throat got the last guy fired.
  19. Yeah McClain really stood out in that Carolina Panthers uni. Did you mean Chandler?
  20. Nowhere to run. Our O line got handled by UTC and the inexperience showed.
  21. The Murray fumble killed our momentum. We were tied in the 3rd Quarter with the ball in scoring position. Flood gates opened after that play. Flood gate was breached just before half time.
  22. No matter what you end up doing, take advantage of spending time together alone before you have kids. You will miss it.
