  1. As long as Miami gets in the paint with their wings and/or their guards, and it doesn't matter who it is: Lebron, Wade, Chalmers or even Norris Cole, they will be fine. They don't even have to shoot 50% from the perimeter for that strategy to work. That's something Indiana took away and is why they made that series difficult for Miami. Seems like at times they just get tired and settle for one on one basketball with 4 guys standing on the perimeter watching, or just settle for mid-range jump shots. Granted that's what SA's D gives them, and props to Leonard for basically taking away Lebron's scoring, but the interior D for SA is suspect. It's frustrating to watch them jack up jumpers from 15' when you know that it probably wont work 70% of the time. I don't know how many times I was shaking my head watching that first quarter with all the jump shooting that was going on.
  2. The two main requirements are 51% corn in the mash and aged in charred oak barrels. There's some other requirements about the proof. Doesn't matter where it's made, you just need hard water and the appropriate climate to let the barrels "breathe".
  3. I'm having a hard time understanding some of the stuff that they are doing with bourbon. By definition it has to be aged in new, charred, oak barrels. So when they start adding different barrels I'm not sure how that fits. I know Jack Daniels isn't technically a bourbon because they drip it through charcoal BEFORE putting it in barrels. Maybe once they put it in the oak barrels they are allowed to take it out and then put it in the different, flavored (like port) used barrels? Its aged in charred oak barrels, then finished in the port casks for a few months. Have you guys ever done any part of the Bourbon Trail? Probably the most interesting thing I've done in Kentucky.
  4. I won't be able to make it, but I recomend Angel's Envy. It's aged in port casks and has a really delicate and complex falvor for a bourbon but unfortunately it falls apart in water. Serve it neat chilled. As far as the bourbon barrel ale goes, I keep my bourbon and my beer separate, and the stuff tastes horrible IMO. My wife can't get enough of it though.
  5. I think the original point wasn't entirely on the officiating, but rather on the lengths some players go to to sell the foul. Everyone in the NBA flops, some more than others. Battier is a master flopper. With that said, I think Wade and James get calls because they're always going to the rim, not just because of who they are. In fact if Wade were healthy and he was consistently attacking the basket, the officiating analysis above would be skewed towards the Heat.
  6. Brad, you trolling me bro? lol The NBA refs aren't used to officiating the NFL style of play by the Pacers. Cut them some slack.
  7. Dee looks over his shoulder, sees Jeffery Loria getting free ****, cries and says I want some too. Did I sum it up? Non-story.
  8. But do you remember Rony Seikaly, Bimbo Coles, Jamal Mashburn and Vashon Leonard? You lost me on that last part. I know "that's why they play the game", but who is going to take 4/7 from Miami? As long as LeBron is healthy, I don't see it.
  9. Bruce! How have you been man? I knew I could find you with a good pseudo-troll Miami thread. That said, I really don't remember any NBA post season being this black and white.
  10. Still doesn't change a thing. http://espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/2013/story/_/id/9214995/russell-westbrook-oklahoma-city-thunder-knee-surgery
  11. That just a tiny slice of the pie. Hell no its not enough. And what about the programs that barely make enough money to stay afloat now? Not offer the sports that pay? There's not a massive economy central to those sports. There arent multi billion dollar TV deals, and bowl sponsorships with the other sports. These kids are being taken to the cleaners and treated like commodities. The fact that they aren't paid is utter ********.

  13. 30 days for contempt is not harsh, but not unheard of. What was she expecting?
  14. If he can play receiver and DB, that would be quite a feat. Looking forward to watching him play.
  15.   If we get a letter from AW I hope we send it right back with a note saying "Mike White is our guy". MW is proud to be a bull and has been loyal through and through. AW has publicly questioned USF, doubted the program, and fished for bigger and sexier names.    "Our guy" is the one that performs the best in practice. Having multiple QBs battle is a luxury and as we all should know by now you can never have too many capable QBs.
  16. White has a stronger arm and is more accurate than Bobby. There's a reason his team won state, the kid does not throw INTs. It will be nice to have an actual QB in there next year. I expect Mike White to be starter by the second half of the season.
  17. Do you know what a search engine is? Of course. I think I have one in the ol Subaru.
  18. Two questions. What is Venues Today, and two who reads it? Seems meaningless to me.
  19. Travel to Vero, burn the place down and salt the earth so nothing grows back. That's how you do "Team Building"
  20. What a weird twitter handle... I'm sure there's an interesting story behind it.----- Which one? OhThatsYoGirl11---- Probably a funny story I'm sure there is. Anyone? Buehler? http://rapgenius.com/Young-money-bedrock-lyrics#note-10547 Parental advisory, explicit lyrics. These kids and their rap music these days.
