  1. It's at about 1:20 http://www.gousfbulls.com/mediaPortal/player.dbml?SPSID=36686&SPID=2923&DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=7700&id=1185438&db_oem_id=7700
  2. Need interior rebounding and defense too. Hopefully Egbunnu and Perry can help out with that next year as well. That win last night really helped out our RPI.. up to 68 now.
  3. Good: Fast break execution, free throw shooting down the stretch (8/8), rebounding: losing the boards by 1 is a win given our lack of size, AC and Poland, Aleem bailed us out in the first half, hit some big time 3's, Rudd's reverse alley-oop jam. Our depth compared to UCF, they cannot substitute anyone for Clanton or Sykes without crumbling. Bad: scoring droughts, long, long scoring droughts. Defensive breakdowns leading to wide open lanes. Probably has something to do with our starting big being a perimeter player. Ugly: one handed dunk attempt that met the back of the rim by Rudd. Sometimes, you just need two hands on that ball son.
  4. There was another alley-oop in the first half that wasn't half bad. Just a warm up.
  5. Watched the game with my wife last night, and the first thing I told her was to keep an eye on number 2. Rudd did not disappoint.
  6. OMG got a nice sarcastic ovation for his rebound in garbage time. You're righ though, the guy looks like a stiff out there.
  7. Looking at tickets right now. Anyone know the USF section(s). I don't want to be surrounded.
  8. Good: Successful execution of more than 1 fast break. The break that almost was where Brock was all over the floor getting after the ball would have made a highlight reel for sure. Rudd was just past half court and had a couple steps on everyone.
  9. I think Abdul-Aleem really ignited the offense mid way through the second that put the Penguins away for good. He moves well with and without the ball and there wasn't as much standing around when he was on the floor. As long as he is healthy, Noriega should never see the floor again outside of garbage time. I think what was clearly lacking was offense coming from the low post. Kore White showed he is capable at times, but we need much more than what he's got come big east play.
  10. This. This potential rivalry is the best thing we have going for us right now. It gets butts in seats and draws from two decent TV markets. Maybe if Coach T can put a better product on the field, then we can start to distance ourselves from this relationship, but lets face it: the USF product has never been that good, and has absolutely sucked ass the past 2 years. Relatively small fan base and annual disappointing results on the field and we wonder why no suitor has come calling to save us from ceertain irrelevance? Go ahead and crucify me, but with the exception of '07, we were never really that much better than UCF, especially from an outsider's perspective. We need to focus on re-building with what we have in front of us, not what we wish we had.
  11. True for all Florida teams. Attendance sucks, but note that the Jets are also in the bottom half and are sure to take a tumble if they don't piss on that dumpster fire soon. http://espn.go.com/nfl/attendance/_/sort/homePct Jets are in a death spiral and even Fireman Ed is saying **** this. http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/8675816/new-york-jets-superfan-fireman-ed-hangs-helmet
  12. I'm not mad about losing. I'm furoius about the lack of willingness to compete and utter incompetence displayed by this coaching staff. Not taking a timeout in that spot is completely inexcusable especially since it puts your team right back in a game they weren't in for most of 2 quarters. **** Skip's bull ****. I'm done with him and have been for a few weeks now.
  13. Kinda makes you miss the days of getting gashed up the middle for 300 yards a game.
  14. It was only a few years ago we had a kid on the Butkus Award watch list...when they interviewed his high school football coach, his coach said something to the effect of "They took a kid that was a backup for our high school and made him a Butkus Award candidate. My my how times have changed... Do you remember who the player was? VASSAY MARC: Linebacker, 6-2, 230 CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Named to the Butkus Award "watch list" in the preseason and was considered an NFL prospect until a season-ending neck injury. ... Was on his way to his best season, with 33 tackles (five for a loss), three forced fumbles and 1.5 sacks in five games. ... Had 79 tackles in 1998, including six for a loss (two sacks). NOTABLE: His 2000 season was cut short because of a herniated disc in his neck. He has not played since Sept. 30 against Troy State. ... May still be able to participate in NFL combines this winter and spring. ... Earned a college scholarship despite playing only special teams at Miami Northwestern High. QUOTABLE: "Me not playing, it hurts me so much because ... I helped start this. It brings tears to my eyes knowing I won't be able to (play). I'm going to come out with the team, but it's not going to be the same." You don't have to go that far back. Stephen Nicholas (3 time nominee) and Ben Moffitt were on the watch list: http://www.gousfbulls.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=7700&ATCLID=1179703 http://www.gousfbulls.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=7700&ATCLID=563822 I think Kawika Mitchell made it pretty far in the process as well and went way past the pre season watch list.
  15. Not even so much ability as just simple awareness...3min left, you have the lead and your opponet has 3 TO's play 'em tight! Not zone deep! All staff should go but no excuse to not fire Cosh at this point Exactly. Soft zone every time the game is on the line. But hey, at least Cosh was rushing 4 this time instead of just 3. Defense 101: when your opponent needs to go 75 yards in a hurry, don't give them the time to do it. We have some reallly good proven blitzers in the defensive backfield. Lejiste used to make big plays when he was brought in on blitzes. Jenkins, Joyce and Cliett are potential speedy pash rushers. Is it that our corner opposite Webster is just not good enough to leave in man coverage?
  16. Some were expected Saban and staff to leave 'Bama and take over the USF program during the Bye week. Come on, man, even our most delusional fans aren't that delusional .... it was Spurrier coming back to Tampa. So I take it Bear Bryant would be grasping at straws?
  17. Agreed. Put t-rex back at corner... it has been a glaring weakness opposite Webster. He may even be better than Baker even though he hasn't played the position in a coupe years. Welch and the TEs are definitely under utilized.
