  1. Wait, y’all only drink an hour a day? ****, I guess that means I probably have a problem. Oh well...
  2. They say all publicity is good publicity right?
  3. Freshman QB BJ Daniels taking over for Matt week 3 at FSU followed by a solid first season... no?
  4. Is the 3 o’clock game the “Beat Somebody” game?
  5. My UNLV ticket rep called me today to assure me they are scouring the country looking for “better” teams to replace the Cal and ASU. I suggested USF as an alum. Cal and ASU were conveniently scheduled on days USF no longer have games as well. Because Vegas, we’re not even going to shut down business categories anymore come Monday, we’re just going to shut down individual businesses based on checks I doubt are really happening. I hope to see you all at Allegiant Stadium in September; they mentioned season tickets will be the only way to see games this year though($125 endzone seats)...
  6. I think the presidents of Universities will need to at least pretend that they're putting their students(operative word here) best interest ahead of money. One league has a union that will help compensate if a player suffers life long effects from COVID the other are student athletes that, should they suffer long term lung effects or another side effect of COVID that is seen in some of those that experience symptoms but do not die. Let’s put it this way, the NFL will play because, like you and I, they are contractually obligated to in order to collect their check. The NCAA will ultimately not have a season because, same reason schools aren’t opening in the fall, ultimately the schools are contractually obligated to keep all of their students safe. 1 student athlete suffering long term effects from this thing is ultimately 1 to many. 1 NFL player getting sick is like one of us catching it at work, a risk of our jobs.
  7. We'll see. I think we see the NFL(at least to start) because they are paid athletes. I can't imagine a University will ultimately risk an student athlete's (amateur)health.
  8. 25/75. Football is a different beast and I’m still not certain all of the following sports finish their seasons ahead of football season; MLS, MLB, NHL and NBA. it’s one thing if professional athletes get sick(and if enough do get sick they’ll shut down) so I think NFL a with no fans has an outside shot but I can’t see a college president willing to ultimately risk a student athlete catch the disease and be seriously affected by it because of the ramifications that could come from it(why you see so many schools shutting down things like weight training and conditioning programs after outbreaks).
  9. Considering I didn't attend or really follow USF games until becoming a student in 05 I don't think I can include any games prior to 05. Week 1 - ND Week 2 - 07 Auburn Week 3 - 08 Kansas Week 4 - 07 WVU(05 UL, 09 FSU were also great) Week 5 - 2015 Syracuse(the game we finally let Q be Q) Week 6 - I guess UCiF in 07 and 64-12 Week 7 - 06 UNC I guess Week 8 - 09 WVU Week 9 - 2016 Navy Week 10 - 2016 Memphis Week 11 - 05 WVU Week 12 - 2015 UCiF Bowl Game - 2010 Clemson.

    Florida Covid

MT for me, for pretty much the same reasons. I find myself happier and happier each time I’m up there.
  11. Washoe county’s numbers aren’t terrible and our governor is now closing things by county. Clark County and UNLV are about to be closed indefinitely it seems like, UNR just yesterday released their plan to welcome students back to campus for fall. Not sure UNR is canceling anything.
  12. May as well remove Fresno and UNLV. Don’t see any California schools playing this fall I can’t imagine a scenario in which UNLV does either. It sucks because I’m a first time UNLV ticket holder and was hoping to see the new stadium at a great rate(why couldn’t we all just stay home and wear masks when needing to be in public the last few months again?), at least the stadium will still be new next year and once the season is officially canceled my tickets auto transfer to next year.
  13. February seems awfully cold for half the country. Feels like an optimistic start time to me but we’ll see. Seems like a recipe for some big injuries to some important players in Fall 2021, and some kind of class action lawsuit if enough people get injured due to an offseason shorter than even the NFL could pull off(NFLPA would never allow it).
  14. Ok, so say they start “summer” camp in March, Means bowl games(if we have them) are around Memorial Day? No Bowls means the season runs until May, Fall camp starts in August with games in September without cutting into next season. Where is this 6 months off to heal, focus on school and prepare for the following season? Edit: Maybe you’re equating the toll on the body from Spring practice and games as equal? One’s like getting hit by an empty shopping cart and the other is like getting hit by a truck.
  15. If they move football to the spring then NCAA football will probably need to remain a spring sport. Think of the injuries that would come after having only a few months off between seasons. I guess the other option would be back to back abbreviated seasons where next season starts in mid October or something. I just can't imagine anyone taking a beating for 8-10 games and then coming back a few months later for another 11-12 games. The body needs much more time to recover than we'd be allowing.
  16. Under on the first option. After announcing the first option they don’t need to make a decision on the second until the first week of August so I’ll take the over on the second.
  17. It buys another month or two to wait this out. With conference only games you can get away with a mid October start and play through what would normally be Bowl season. Come mid August if the outlook is like it currently is(it probably will be) they'll then cancel the season.
  18. The BIG 10 just announced conference only football as of now. Feels like the first step towards no football.
  19. Naw, I imagine keeping it in the bunker with no cell phone reception is even more advantageous in 2020 than it was back in 05 - 09 when I attended.
  20. I tuned out a couple games into last season because of how bad we were and I imagine I'd do the same if we went 0-12. So, I'm no sure what the difference between 0-12 and no football really would be for me. I do know that 0-12 would look a lot worse to recruits and drop us even further in national perception than we already are, than having no season would.
  21. I’ll take a couple of them. Will 100% use them for decorations, I’ll let you know the exact number this evening but thinking 2 or 3.
  22. Haha, yea it should be. More worried about sun and heat damage but I can build a a cover over the side yard that I’ve started putting brick pavers down on. Coffee table isn’t too custom haha. I’m the Operations Coordinator for a tinting company, so I literally need to pay my graphics guy to cut it out of some dusted crystal and pay one of my installer a couple bucks to install it, it’ll run me like $50 haha. The expensive part comes when I commission a muralist to come paint some sports logos among other things on my back fence (100’ long).
  23. Kind of did the same to my covered patio in May. Not really USF themed other than USF corn hole boards and I’m going to have my graphics guy create a printed iconic U On the center curtain behind my sectional(curtains are there to block the glare on the TV I mounted out there) and make me a frosted logo To put on my glass coffee table out there. Might get some USF themed lights, but I have a bunch of extra growlers from the breweries down the street(not refilling during COVID) so I might turn a few of them into patio lights. I have jerseys and photos hanging in the living room so I’m probably not going to hang any outside. That pool table someone else posted looks bad ass, I may just have to figure out a place for it out there. I’m ready to spend countless hours out there watching sports.
  24. You are missing my point. Yes all teams had a long layoff; no all teams aren’t going to be scrambling to learn a new playbook in less than a month if the season is played. You’ve seen how long learning a new playbook takes first hand through our coaching changes. Now subtract 2-3 months of hands on learning. Our lack of a spring practice is different than Cincy, UCiF, Houston, etc. Edit: For context I was out on Skip after year one(that includes the Clemson Win) and Strong 3 games into his second year(and we still won a few That season after I bailed on him) and road Willies bus into being labeled as a Blind Eternal Taggart Optimist(BTW did that one guy ever walk from Lithia to the stadium like he said he would?). I’m not sure how Jeff Scott is going to play out but he’s going to need a couple years to implement his system and get his guys in and losing that much hands on coaching where you can correct technique, see the guys live and tweak your system is going to put us in a huge hole this season.
