  1. with all the transplants here, FL goes into chaos mode when there's a few lightning strikes and some semi-heavy rain. everyone forgets how to drive, too. so it's no surprise people freak out when a storm that MIGHT be a hurricane, and MIGHT come with in 500 miles of us pops up. i guess being desensitized from being in so many storms has me scoffing at all the retards who somehow wait until a storm gets close to buy even the basic necessities (seriously, people don't have batteries and flashlights AT ALL!?!?!?). if you live under sea level i feel bad for you son, i got 99 problems but a flood ain't one.
  2. no surprise. they had a big east preview podcast and it talked about syracuse, temple, and uConn and that was it.
  3. go tell FSU and UF alum their "scattered around campus" tailgates suck. sorry, i agree with joe and cmhatter. on campus tailgates have an entirely different vibe than RJS. RJS is cool. but they line you up in rows, it's like an organized block party. UCF you have some organization, but it feels entirely different. i tailgated for 12 hours in 2008 when we played there. minus the ribbing i took for being the only usf person for 3-4 hours before noon, it was beyond cool. it's like a real party. they're not really different in what goes on, but it just "feels" different. the tailgating around FSU was like the UF ones I've been to. it's more of that party-party style, just super relaxed. usf's still seems forced. granted, i never did much in the usf student section for tailgates, so maybe I'm just used to the more sedated version of tailgating. which, i actually enjoy. just don't say it outdoes ucf/fsu/uf.
  4. Written by our favorite reporter! Interesting in that ESPN wanted information about future commish (possibly to "break" a story and leak names), yet USF and Cincinnati may have been sued had they gone through with it - and all of this seems to have forced the BE's hand to name their commish sooner, rather than sometime this or next week like originally planned. http://espn.go.com/college-sports/story/_/id/8299241/big-east-commissioner-mike-aresco-came-job-late-process
  5. jim rome is on vacation this week, so it might be filler. the jungle draws well - i occasionally listen, but with the FM station now - they may be losing market share and need to fill a local talent since people aren't as interested in the national scene many times.
  6. war **** flamingo, roll bull tide.....uhhh. lol most people know the flamingo and tamplona stuff is gimmick and will never stick, even though some schools have traditions that did start out very gimmicky. the third-down-lock-down actually has some merit to it. east side: "hooves down!" west side: "horns up!" students: "that's the way we like to, wait, what?"
  7. time to walk around campus and shmooze up some co-eds in hopes one of them has a spare ticket for me. if not, i'll enjoy it from the confines of my HDTV. #noDUIs
  8. well why the **** not? they're ******* awesome, we want them. sack up UA, i thought you liked money?
  9. possible breakout player. he has that ability to really flash. being behind other guys, he has matured, i think he can be a real surprise.
  10. lol people scream for objective reporting, unless it involves shedding negative bullet points on something they're supporting. I think her articles have been fine so far. it's no secret this conference isn't magically fixed overnight. there are still major hurdles, but the light has finally turned on at the end of the tunnel. we just have to get there without running into a train.
  11. most not surprising to me. time to give ciabatti his shot at punting. i hope bonani can stick to PK duty and let Kloss do more KOs. i figured there would be some true freshmen on there. only one that caught me off guard was mims at DE. i assume that spot is reserved for aaron lynch as soon as all of that is signed and sealed. lynch and giddins making qb sandwiches all year long!
  12. 2007 Kansas 2008 Ben Moffitt INT returned for TD announced 46,000; actual 37,000 breakfast
  13. she has pointy elbows (sarcastic response from another internet board i frequent where everyone knocks hot chicks and thinks they can do better) but for real, she could eat a couple cheeseburgers, or at least do some situps. girls that thin need to have some abs or put on 10 lbs and not look like they've got ED. that said, i'd hit it. i'd even pay. i would.
  14. i thought multiple players could have the same number as long as not on field at same time....griffin and Q wash could have shared it.
  15. i never thought the crate smashing was that great. it was cool, but borderline cheesy. but then again none of the animations have been that great.
  16. I have yet to score a goal with my rec team, but if I did, I'd have a hard time in the moment picking which one I'd want to use. It usually takes a good 15-30 seconds to get the ball out of the net and reset, so unless they're worming or dancing for longer than that, no one cares. The only time the opposing team wants to speed up resuming the game is if they're losing and there isn't much time left.
  17. haha i hope he drops 20 on ucf in the first game then.
