Yeah it was his recruit...meaning he's just a redshirt FRESHMAN. Why does everyone here expect the freshmen and sophomores that Holtz recruited to dominate college football? Give these kids time to mature.

If we lose every game from here on and are demoted to FCS football I will still bleed green and gold and go to games at Ray Jay till I rot. Sure its not right to just sit and watch the program lose but its my school and its my team. Even though I'm just a senior at USF its easy to see who are the "fans" who somehow became fans after the #2 ranking here. Our bandwagon is now a single-engine but I kind of like the fact the dead weight is falling off.

He was at those programs for longer than he was at USF. On another note. Wasn't Price supposed to be the next Kellen Winslow? Hopefully not, Winslow never lived up to expectations at Miami and Price is a truefrsh

We'll have a QB tall enough to see over the middle for the first time in like 6 years....maybe that will change things up I don't know why everyone thinks Floyd is so tall. He's listed as 6'1", same as BJ (6/6'1"). Eveld is the tall one. As a student who sees Floyd and BJ on campus all the time (even played beach volleyball with Floyd once lol) I can tell you that Floyd is MUCH taller than BJD

my point wasn't to blame Leavitt for these loses, my point was that Skip isn't failing horribly at recruiting like many on this thread are claiming.

All Bulls fans should get on Twitter and send some love to Asiantii, show him Bullsnation is still solid. That kid loves Twitter more than any other athlete I know.

Those who say Skip has done a bad job recruiting are just mad for no reason. (Besides our record) Skip has recruited Davis (Our best WR as a true Soph...potential to be the best WR in USF history), Price (should be a stud), DV Montgomery (Freshman showing early signs to be a good 3rd down possession receiver), Eric Lee (Defensive lineman who made quite a couple of plays against UCONN, Freshman) and commitment from a kid who shows incredible maturity off the field, will play in the All-American Bowl (seriously the friggin All-American Bowl! Did you ever think a USF commit at QB would do that ?), and has the knowledge needed to succeed at QB with the right coaching. Meanwhile Leavitt's seniors are all getting called out and losing their spots starting (Lanaris, Barrington). The man was grandfathered into too many players, BJ was a spread QB who freakishly failed at an i-formation offense. I always thought Holtz should've gone with Landi for his system but our lack of WR really sucked by then. Skip is getting the talent, just let it mature people.

Hilarious. The man went from a trailer park to BCS #2 status in 10 years. Yeah, thats all Leavitt worked for. Be correct. 9-4 season. The idea of this program being destroyed is stupid. Is Skip the right guy? No, doesn't look like it. But, that doesn't mean there isn't some coach who can come in and get this train running. Ok 9-4 record season, in a BCS conference, with mostly ConfUSA-level and FBS talent seniors. My point is its ridiculous to question Leavitt's work ethic at this point.

wow. you don't watch our games do you? I attend most of them, but business kept me away tonight (fortunately). I watch them all. But I don't just go blindly attacking folks as if replacing one guy is an easy answer. This year we have had a complete lack of effort on many occasions When this team can run with some very talented programs and then struggles with Ball State and Nevada it is a lack of effort. Lack of effort is about leadership in the trenches, on the field. Not coaching. look what replacing one guy did for san fran niners. it's not a lack of effort all of a sudden. it's coaches that don't put their players in a position to succeed. BTW many seniors have been benched. any different results? The 49ers turned it around becase they hired CJL. Surprise! You don't get sarcasm!

That would be cool if he were to walk-on instead. His Dad does make millions and is the coach but it won't happen, it would free up a scholly and it would be like having an extra good solid player as a back-up.

This isn't your Daddy's Temple Owls anymore guys. This team has constantly won the last couple of years.

very good post. les miles wins with below average QB play all the time. 2010 they go 11-2 Jordan Jefferson had a QB rating of 115 with 7 passing TDs and 10 picks last year kansas state went 10-2 with a QB that had 317 carries and a 3.6 ypc average. his passing and rushing stats w ere worse than BJs great coaches find a way to win give any of those coaches our roster and they easily compete for conference title. Kansas State must have had a great defense then. Who was their DC? We should hire him...wait...scratch that idea. nah they were bottom half of country. cosh is running skip's defense though. kansas state's coach just knew how to shorten games and keep other teams offense off the field. #4 in the country for time of possession. even with the #108 passing offense in country. here's an interesting stat. we were #110 in country for TOP even with the #1 rushing offense in conference and #31 rushing offense (just 2 spots behind ksu) in the country. odd. No such thing. Skip and Fitch make the offensive playcalling and stay away from defense and their playcalling a good amount of the game, which makes sense because Skip's career as player and coach have all revolved around the offense. Kind of like CJL and the offense when he was here. Cosh is the problem.

We were his baby. I bet he feels like a parent watching their kid go away to college and make some stupid life decisions but still hopes they'll do alright.
