  1. The kid takes up serious space too. He'll also have to learn to use his size a little better in the post; he looked hesitant out there at time, like's he's forgotten how big he is. A definite project, but he'll be pretty fun to watch when he puts it all together. He got the biggest pops of the night too. I compare him a lot to Nasr Mohammed his first year at Kentucky, only OMG is quite a bit rawer. Nasr didn't really come into his won until his junior year.
  2. Yes I forgot to mention this. Our lack of size will really be an issue (ties in to rebounding). Jordan OMG will really need to develop quickly to help us in this area. I wouldn't hold my breath. OMG is a project, very very raw right now. You can see his difficulty running the court. I doubt Jordan will contribute much this season.
  3. I turned 2 in 1970, so I seriously doubt that I dropped acid in the 60's. , but I love Pink Floyd. I've seen the band once, Roger Waters 3 times, and the Pink Floyd Experience once. If you like lyrics, sit down and listen to Dark Side of The Moon. I saw "The Wall" tour and I had the half speed master of "The Wall" double album set. Cost me 35 bucks, but was worth it. I was a freshman in high school when "Dark Side of the Moon" was released. Got hooked then. Alan Parsons is a freakin' genius, ain't he? I did not drop acid .......... in the 60's.
  4. Since you like "The Bull", a former FSU season ticket holder, and are new to the experience, you might like this.
  5. Any word on Shaun Noriega's condition? That was a nasty fall.
  6. I like Javontae Hawkins. He shoots well off the dribble.
  7. Come on, if you'd asked any of us last year in December what our BE record would be, nobody would have said 12-6. The team looked average, at best, out of the gate.
  8. OMG is a bus. Heath was right, he does not run the floor well. He'll improve, though, and when he does, look out. If memory serves me right, he's still rehabbing an injured ankle or knee, can't remember which. When you are that big, joints take time.
  9. I shed a tear ... To be honest, I held my breath until Jon caught it and took off.
  10. They've still got some kinks to work out, but it's a great place to watch a game.
  11. Mediocre QB play down the stretch would have beat us last night. That first interception was a disgrace to anyone with an arm. Gloating over not being 2-7 might not be the best course of action either. Am I mistaken in thinking that the first pick was a wounded duck because the qb couldn't follow through because of one of our d lineman? I'd have to see the replay again, but I don't think we forced that pick, although we did have pressure on the QB. I think it was just a pisspoor throw. It looks like he got hit straight on right on the follow through ... Whitmer was hit after the throw and it was a bad throw, but he had to get rid of it because he saw Tevin Mims coming right at him. That's what caused the bad throw. That's what bringing pressure does.
  12. Pffftt... even teams in the big 5 conference when they suck BAD their fan base doesn't come out. 2 years ago UM is a perfect example. Empty stadium and someone rented a sign on the back of an airplane saying Fire Randy for the USF/UM game...and they won National Championships! Quit acting all mightier than thou and let people express their displeasure in the way they see fit. Its a young fanbase and it will find its way to its median sooner or later. Auburn 2-7 85,214 vs UL Monroe 86,721 vs LSU 85,813 vs Arkansas 85,119 vs Texas A&M 74, 676 vs New Mexico State Kentucky 1-9 48,346 vs Kent State 53,980 vs Western Kentucky 49,810 vs South Carolina 49,498 vs Mississippi State 54,553 vs Georgia 44,902 vs Vanderbilt Illinois 2-7 43,441 vs Western Michigan 45,369 vs Charleston Southern 46,539 vs Louisiana Tech 46, 734 vs Penn State 47,981 vs Indiana Just for comparisons sake. Until the administration establishs themselves as a legit program willing to win and listen to the fan base + communicate instead of playing around this will always happen. What does that even mean? What will always happen ...?? Tampa and a lot of Florida (state wide, not UF) fans are fickle and bandwagon riders...if the fans don't believe the leadership is doing its part to put a winning team out there fans won't show up professional or college. These fans want consistent progress and winning, that's why there was the explosion of fans in '07 and since they haven't done much since it's just so so. The same with the Rays, since most fans don't think they can win the WS they just get the die hards and visiting teams My point is USF hasn't shown to be a consistent product and with DW and other leaders really not addressing the elephanat in the room (besides the "addressing at the end of the season" statement), so some fans and alum aren't ready to dedicate all their Saturdays to gameday Those numbers are tickets sold. The actual scanned attendance at the Vandy/UK game was 19,688.
  13. Trumpet in each end zone. 1 plays the first 2 lines, other plays the next 2, both play the 5th line, the remainder of the trumpets come in for the sixth, and the whole of the band come in on the remaining 2. I think I got that right. Anyway, it was fantastic.
  14. The problem is between Mitch Barnhart and Petrino as much as it is between Brooks and Petrino. Mitch might just turn back to Oregon, where he came from and where he got Rich, not for Chip Kelly, but for Mark Helfrich.
  15. Kentucky not considering hiring Bobby Petrino after firing Joker Phillips
  16. Comparing Joker Phillips' situation to that of Skip Holtz is comparing apples to oranges.
  17. I'll be at both. Mrs. S will miss the UCF game. I'll have somebody in her seat, though.
  18. Yes, I am getting my money's worth. They are in every game until the end. It's like getting a massage from the Mrs. without a happy ending. I'm still all in for the next massage, hoping for the best.
  19. I was proud of the student section. The way they were going at it actually brought a tear to my eye, especially during the goal line stand.
  20. Sorry, I don't feel bad, not for me anyway. Maybe for the kids. I'm looking forward to next Saturday.
