My only reservation is not knowing how good our line will be. Reiter is our best young OL, or perhaps Eatmon. If others step up, we could be pretty good up front. Losing Popek hurts, but that's life in the NCAA. I would not be surprised at all to see Dyer average 125 or more at USF...if we can get him here & on the field. Very quiet all around...but I'm guessing he needs to decide pretty soon, as classes start next month. IIRC we actually ran the ball pretty well last year when we stuck with it. I know part of the reason was BJ's threat to run, but I keep hearing Bench has some wheels too. Maybe not BJ level, but still could be something worthy of the defense to worry about. IDK how many linemen/former linemen we have on this board, but I bet the majority would say they love to run block more than pass protect.

I don't know by "lack of support" they mean attendance but you take away Ok and Texas and the rest only average about 50k and considering how bad our last three years with Skip were we still hit around 44k. Go back to the last 3 years of JL and we were up to 51k so I find it hard to believe that with an upgraded schedule of the Big 12 anyone would think our attendance would go down. I don't know about the average attendance numbers. Gousfbulls.com has the official attendance for UL in 2011 at 33,416. There was no way 34K people were there. Every school probably pads their attendance, They got the decimal wrong on that number. There were really 3,341.6 fans at that game.

Do you really see him committing before seeing the game? And also before visiting the other three schools? It just seems odd to me that this is the apparent scenario meanwhile your source is saying he commits when he gets there. I would think he would just simply transfer there instead of weighing his options.

WVU just got a hot shot freshman in Ford Childress to play QB and IIRC they promised him PT which is why he picked them. I understand programs break promises like Jay Z breaks bread but I'm not sure WVU is as desperate for a QB as we are and I also think WVU should be taking more defensive transfers rather than taking a QB who hasn't shown he can withstand an entire season as a starter and only has two years to play. That's my opinion. But of course with his dad being a coach at WVU for several years back a while ago means there is more of a connection with the college in Morgantown than ours.

We also don't have our starting QB on campus right now.

This kid may be better suited to play a year or two in college and develop a little bit more before deciding to pursue a pro baseball career. If he was told he can play both football and baseball then he can show off his talents to pro scouts during baseball season while helping out the football team. I say let him play both. I think denying him the chance to pitch here will chase him away if he gets drafted high enough.

Floyd is in a mental battle with himself. It's like a kicker after missing 3 or 4 field goals in a row. I mean, it's the Spring Game! There were no blitzes to pick up. The defenses played in a base defense and it wasn't like he had to deal with Aaron Lynch. So this is still a major issue with him. I have put a lot of heat and hate on this kid. But he actually impressed me a little bit with his decision making and passing. Of course having Andre Davis will make that easier, but he still had a much better passing game than the other QB. But just like a previous poster said, if you can't handle a snap, you could throw like Drew Brees and not be worth a ****. And right now Matt Floyd is not worth a ****. If Mike White is the best option come August 31st, and I think he will, then he should be the starter or at least get a bulk of the action.
