  1. 2 weeks is my bet too. Auburn and Arkansas should be filled by end of week, and then hopefully we fill ours around the same time too
  2. Here's an excerpt from this ESPN article I found from this past July: Davis is fighting to rebuild his reputation, which was tarnished by the investigation of improper benefits and academic misconduct at UNC. The only career opportunity currently on the table is working as a "special assistant" toTampa Bay Buccaneers coach Greg Schiano, a former Davis assistant at Miami. But Davis is ready for the next round of job openings, armed with the NCAA's March ruling that doesn't cite him for wrongdoing. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/8172946/butch-davis-hoping-coach-college-again
  3. Anyone know the specifics of his exit contract from UNC? Can he coach this next season with no loss of money? I think he maybe a serious candidate
  4. Is on FSU board of Trustees I believe...sooo theres that in way
  5. 5-7 and then 3-8. Thats why he lost all support from 99% of fans and his own team
  6. Disappointing it didn't work here. He couldn't get the wins, but we should learn from his politeness and classy character
  7. Definitely Scott, he bleeds green and gold. Patrick too. Maybe Hargreaves
  8. Not impressed. I think a lot of people were confident in his firing today. BUT you can redeem yourself to me by picking our next HC correctly
  9. No Bowden or Nutts. Butch Davis and plenty of better options available
  10. Woolard has done a lot more good than bad here. We all thought hiring Skip was a good move...the extension this offseason was a minor error. However, he's overseen a fantastic renovation of our athletic facilities.
  11. And get him fired too? Good idea. Then you should understand why no one believes you. That's fine but how about a little f*&king patience? You're all rabid animals. If on Monday Skip is still employed, you will get my fullest apology and I will permanently attach it to my signature for all time. You make a bold claim that Skip would resign tonight after the game, right? I mean, that is the title of this thread (in all caps) that you started. So its after the game and he is not resigning. I believe he'll get fired tomorrow, but thats not what you said or claimed.
  12. If Skip isn't fired tomorrow he is here next year. Its a pretty obvious decision to fire, but if the AD is invested in Holtz New Error then nothing will happen tomorrow but some coordinators packing their bags
  13. I believe we pulled our offer from Weatherford. That kid was bad news,
  14. Great post .... only fault I find with your scenario is, and by reading this board you should already know this, that the move to the Big East appeared to have created a good amount of snooty, spoiled fans who actually think that schools like Tulane, Memphis, ECU are far far beneath us now and am not sure they'll buy in. Sports isn't the reason the university opened its door. Obviously. But, its the reason this message board exists! There is no Bullspen without an athletic program. Its what has people either griping or praising or school! As a matter of fact, this is the South Florida Bulls Athletics Board! And winning makes our athletics more profitable, our school more desirable and better competition in a better conference helps create that! Did us jumping up to the Big East create "Snoody" Fans?! Give me a break. Athletically, Tulane, ECU and Memphis were in a weaker football conference. Could they have beaten us this year? I have no doubt! One bad year does not define our football program as a whole! But I would love to still see USF move up to a better conference. Why? Better competition creates a better team. A better conference and this better competition draws better players, recruits and coaches! Winning does solve almost everything, as a matter of fact, it will create a lot less bandwagon fans, even in Tampa! Just playing was great in the late 90s, but we have a program I still believe can end up being one of the top 50 in the country. Fans desiring a more competitive team, a team that plays better and competes against better teams year in and out creates a successful program.Settling gets us nowhere We don't have to be a mid-level or worse team forever. If fans come across snoody or spoiled. too bad. Some are immature, entitled young people who are still growing up. But there is a difference between that and the drive for success, which is what I believe all fans really want here.
  15. We and ucf are gonna need to partner up (just threw up in my mouth typing that) to give one of the other conferences 2 regional teams in Florida to play and a larger share of the Florida tv market. I just dont see FSU or Miami going anywhere, and if we package a deal with ucf (large school only 90 miles away) we may get some more interest than we are now
  16. And no one in Temple Terrace will even notice because they wont be there
  17. 19,500 BUT no one should go to this game to show how much we want Skip fired. Everyone chip in and buy skip out
  18. Snyder knows how to bend and not break. Cosh just breaks
  19. I think this is the best piece of news on this thread. Brooks working with USF is the most rediculous thing Ive heard. He's a Seminole
  20. We all hate the dmv but Sam, cmon man! It;s time to bench some seniors anyways and get the younger players experience.
