  1. 0 USF shirts in team store. ... Realistically, though, I don't know that this is something that I'd blame on the airport. Sports Scene rents the space for them. I don't know that the airport can mandate that they carry a specific teams gear. Aside from controlling sale of alcohol and a few basic morality standards, the airport is going to let their clients run their business the way they feel. Meddling in their affairs will prevent other retailers from setting up shop at TIA. I also can't blame the store -- they're trying to make a living. If they felt that there was a profit in carrying USF apparel, they would, but in all likelihood UF and FSU are out-selling us so what incentive is there for them to carry USF stuff? Hell, the other day when I was at target, they were carrying four teams' apparel: USF, UF, FSU, and Wisconsin. Why? Well, either there was a shipping area or there's some marketing data that says that there are Badgers alum or transplants in the area. Until the community truly embraces the Bulls and buys the merch, you're going to continue to see this. As it has been since the beginning of the program. I guess we could potentially rail on TIA for not opening their own independently operated team store at a loss, so grab your pitchforks boys!
  2. This computer picks us to win, too. So that's 2 computers and Clucko the Chicken. At this point, we don't even have to play the game. http://www.realtimerpi.com/cgi-bin/football/scouting?team1=1002&team2=1047&gender=1&home=at&date=September
  3. Looks like we do... http://www.areavibes.com/compare-results/?place1=Tampa%2C FL&place2=Miami%2C FL#
  4. How dare you besmirch this storied series. Let me enlighten you, bub. Did you know the CONNflict: Dates back more than 3 years? This makes it the 179th oldest rivalry in college football. Has an average margin of victory of only 27 points? Is a bedrock of each school's football schedule? So far, the game is always played in October or November. Is one of the 6 most attended games for the home team each year? On average, 31,114 fans pack the stadium to see this legendary game. Has had national championship implications in 0 of the years it has been played? Creates a natural geographic rival as the two schools are separated by a mere 1,195 miles? Creates an academic rivalry? Currently, Connecticut is narrowly ahead of Central Florida with an endowment only 3x larger than their rivals. Additionally, Connecticut is only 116 spots above UCF in the latest US News rankings. On average, is ranked 'N/A' in the Top 100 College Football Rivalries by major publications?
  5. I believe so. I was listening to Drew Garabo on 102.5, yesterday I believe, and he texted Matt asking if he could borrow one of his jerseys to wear on Saturday since it will be Drew's first USF game.
  6. Maybe FSU is 2007 USF: get to #2 and then lose 3 in a row.
  7. Sorry, the Number 25 spot was being used by Miami. They earned it after beating FAMU and FAU.
  8. I'll eat some crow. The offense was sputtering and the defense was letting more **** through than single ply toilet paper. I was ready to write us off. Still concerned with the soft play of the D and the way the O struggled in the 1st and 3rd.
  9. Sure we will. FSU needs a win over a Top 25 next week to justify getting back into the top 10.
  10. More like single ply TP -- but even that catches **** every once in a while.
  11. This reminds me of the days when we'd play Rutgers or Cincinatti during the CJL era. We'd play sandlot offense that would catch some teams offguard but then would be brought down to reality by teams with stout defenses that could run the ball. Problem is that this is not Grothe or Daniels running the offense, it's Quinton Flowers who is feast or famine depending on whether the deep ball is there. Problem 2 is we don't have the defense to back it up anymore. We're going to regress noticeably unless either the offense starts playing hot from drive 1 or the D starts getting pressure.
  12. It's not a surprise. It's the same thing that happens every game. Slow start by the O. Balls in the dirt. D can't get pressure nor stop 4th down. The average to above average teams are going to start taking advantage of it.
  13. If everything stands, this is going to go down as the worst loss in Florida State history. Previous worst was 0-49 against UF in 1973.
  14. Was it an Eraserhead reference? I figured they thought he just looked like a pencil.
  15. In related "Teams I Love to Hate News," Rutgers playing catch-up Of course it was targeting! Didn't you see Jim Harbaugh say it was?
  16. UCF looking for two consecutive shut-outs. Too bad for them this one is against them.
  17. UCiF living up to their name. Can't count how many times so far I've heard the announcers say how good they'll be "if" Frost recruits well, "if" they can get in the B12, etc.
