  1. its only logical to assume that Houston is getting invited into the SEC. That's why Ole Miss is playing there.
  2. We should always schedule games based on the potential "Girls of..." thread.
  3. You can tell he knows what he's talking about because he mentioned us.
  4. > Clicks link > Ctrl + F > Search for UCF > "No matches found" > Search for Central Florida > "No matches found"
  5. Depending how things shake out, we may have to fill two of those spots. By 2022, they might be conference games
  6. OK, I'm going to poo-poo on this and play Devil's Advocate. It's a good thought, but what would a public campaign accomplish? Billboards, for instance. Putting aside the fact that they're not a great medium for conveying this type of information -- who are we targeting with these billboards? The B12 Presidents? I'm sure we've already made presentations to them directly either in-person or through marketing materials with this, and other, more extensive information. That was much more effective, impression-wise and cost-wise. Or is this meant to target the casual fan in these towns and raise their awareness of Bulls football? If so, what would that do? There wouldn't be a couch-burning uprising in Morgantown crying for the inclusion of USF football or a sudden influx of out-of-state TV viewers who have no connection to the university. Our marketing needs to focus on owning our own market and getting butts in seats locally.
  7. Curious, why would they prop up the American as a Power 5 conference? No one wants to give the AAC playoff access or P5 money.
  8. This is the same guy who, way back in Page 4 of this thread, said Georgia Tech and Virginia were going to the Big 10. He's been wrong for 4 years.
  9. OK, class. Before we move on with expansion does anyone have any questions? ... Put your hand down, New Mexico.
  10. That Jabroni is a self-admitted Towson homer. Not saying we should take any team lightly but his case for a good game/possible upset, or "research," as he calls it, is nothing but transitive property nonsense. It includes the fact that they only lost to ECU by 8 last year, beat 3-9 UConn in 2013 (Hey! So did we! And with our worst team of all time!) played LSU close for a half in 2012, and some nonsense about barely missing the I-AA playoffs. I know he's trying to polish up this turd of a game, but talk about the impact players on the team (the aforementioned Darius Victor?), the style of play, etc. That's the way you hype a game. The way this is done is a sloppy, sloppy, narrative. Talking up their National Championship in 2013, when they've gone 11-12 since then. Bragging that they're "the only college team to qualify for post-season play at each level of NCAA football...in Division III, Division II, and in Division IAA." Apparently IA doesn't exist. Pestering Michael Clayton to talk up Towson at some paper-plate dinner because, although he left LSU 8 years before Towson played them tough for 30-minutes, he did watch the game on TV.
  11. Maybe we should send a tweet to Coach Taggert and find out
  12. BAH GAWD! HE TOOK HIS HEAD CLEAN OFF! STOP THE PRACTICE! THAT MAN HAS A FAMILY!
  13. Couldn't care less. Nice to see votes but we have a lot to prove. Are we better than #45? Hopefully. We have to prove first that last year wasn't a fluke. I'm not sold. The offense was horrendous the first 75% of CWTs tenure. Although I'm stoked about the possibilities, that 8 or 9 game stretch doesn't erase the four years or so of mediocrity we suffered before it. Up until that Cuse game, CWT was a goner but made an about-face in the middle of the season. I'm excited that we pulled another great class, that we brought Coach King on board, that Coach Gortmaker and Co are pushing the limits in the weight room, but I'm still concerned. Coach Allen and Coach Hope, regardless of your opinions about them and how much they had to do with the about-face, were the DC and OC during our turnaround and losing them could hurt us very much. There's still some question marks on the line, but I love bringing in Coach Hiller, and I'm a pretty big fan of the Coach Weist hire. I'm rooting for Coach Woodie -- the man's a great recruiter and a great position coach, but I know nothing about his ability to call a game; that probably scares me the most about this year, but I hope he works out. Most of all, I'm concerned about consistency -- if we have another good year, I'm sold for the future, but for now, in my mind, we could be #25 or we could be #125. No matter where we are, we're overrated until we're not.
  14. So did we land him? Other than this site, I can't find anything else -- even that we offered him. All I see is that Kentucky appears to be his #1 choice and that Cuse and FAU offered him. http://247sports.com/player/naquan-reynolds-89287
  15. Don't worry -- I'm not going to let a little thing like facts get in the way of a good argument.
  16. If you know what you're doing, the tip is enough to get them revved up.
  17. If we don't get into the B12, it's because we didn't indent the first sentence of our paragraphs and used the word "area" five times within 3 sentences.
  18. I've thrown away better cover letters than this. Got to be a red herring. "High, top-end?" It sounds like something that comes from a high-school business class.
