We came in giving up on average close to 450 yards against Towson, NIU, and 'Cuse. Hell, the D has gotten so weak that teams have elected to go for 4th an average of 4 times a game. No surprise at the end result -- it was just painful to watch.
Hopefully this beatdown is a wake up call for us the same way FSU's was for them. Forget the pipe dream that was the playoffs (if we run the table, do we get in...) and being ranked, we can still win the conference but we the work is just starting. The first 4 games were preseason. We start over next week.
We need someone to read past the first progression at this point. At least give Kean some reps. We're looking at being down 31 pts when we get the ball back.
In a way, it is. We haven't played against a ranked P5 team with momentum and votes in the polls since CSH days and certainly since we found a new identity.
I don't think they're a question mark. We know what they do: give up big points and big yards early, play soft on the pass, no pressure on the QB, and can't stop the 4th.
Last weekends win gives Coach T 17 for his USF career. That moves him past xHCSH. Hopefully he has us on the way to our first conference championship and 10+ win season. Love CWT and hope he makes a career with the Bulls.
