  1. Was wondering today if Coach T has any plans to continue the Vero Beach training camps started by CSH. They sounded good in theory but the results sort of speak for themselves. Anyone on the inside, I would imagine plans are being made now if that is the case.
  2. guess you put that in the front row at Gasparilla because it was not at the game. Just like our students. Noon game, early in semester on a saturday, should have been packed with students. We suck as fans plain and simple. I guess the next thread is we should put an OCS in the dorms because across campus is too far.
  3. I kept telling Cooley he better get to confession. Guy is a complete ass on the court. OMG leveled him without really hitting him hard. Guess when 7'3" 360 hits you it is a truck anyway. Put Cooley out of the game for a few minutes. Guy tried to kill AC the entire game. I wish Heath had sent OMG back out to nail him again, what is the worst that happens, they throw him out of the game?
  4. Agree Cousin Ricky. We have the arena, and I must say it was nice to see good crowds there, but we are a very quiet fan base. I see ourselves as the Japanese baseball fans of college sports. Syracuse had more people in the Sundome than we did, not surprising, and I hope to see it all Green tonight for Georgetown. One issue is that what should we sing? chant? You are right, this is something that has to grow organically, and really will take years since I think it grows from the students, who then come back as alumni. I noticed UCF kicks are ass in fan support as we saw here earlier. Whereas I hate the Mickey Mouse Club, they were very unified in their actions and support on the floor. I myself have taken up being the ref harrasser from sec. 206...
  5. All three coaches hung out with the students at BBall games. Leavitt even painted himself up like a Beefy one time. Holtz had plenty of love for the students, and honestly, I never saw him avoid those situations. I am glad to see Coach T there as well. This does not make any of them great coaches, or bad coaches. I do not believe they were there because they had to be, though I can imagine all of them also wanted to be somewhere else too; most likely the office working on tape or recruiting or whatever Head coaches do endlessly. Slick, I am with you, don't bash Holtz anymore, it is over. He never stepped foot on campus one day and thought "how can I screw up the program today". Leavitt never walked out of his house thinking "how can I cause chaos today". Coach Taggert will have bad days, let's hope he has more good ones, and retires loved, with winning records, and lots of success for him and OUR school.
  6. Woolard actually was the man who got us to the Big East. When the CUSA was being decimated by the BE and L'ville, Cincy were bolting he wrote the deal that brought us along and made it possible to not pay an exit fee. I am hoping he is working the conference realignment like that again. The extensions were crazy, but as stated here, his business of building the sports program overall is very good. The facilities are top, the sports teams have, overall, played better than in a long, long time. Erickson has stayed, even though we know he could go anywhere.
  7. CF13 and BN9 are the SAME channel. I am sure CF13 will show the conference..OR BHSN 47 will have it too. If they are not too busy with ACC cricket semi finals, or whatever.
  8. Combo of things. First, was the record. The Iron Bulls spoke, it started after Temple and got louder each loss. The overly conservative play calling and clock management when we were fighting for our pride. NOT going for a TD this season how many times? Lastly, I think the consolidation of conferences. We have lost a lot of respect in the past three years. I would not be surprised to see Woolard go after a name coach, hoping to put favor with the ACC.
  9. Sorry, there is no lack of effort. There is plenty of effort, perhaps a lack of talent, but mostly a lack of execution. Daniels does not have bad stats, the defense is horrid and at this point I still place it first on poor play calling and coaching and second on below FBS talent.
  10. last night listening on the Fan I swear he threw the players under the bus, said "the coaches set them up for the win and we let them get down and score". How about taking blame for the first half time management.
  11. Yeah yeah yeah, great. I love watching JPP, but it makes me sick to think that was once our defense and now we are the laughing stock of FBS football.
  12. Philadelphia Eagles just dumped their DC, pick him up, if nothing else would bring a little pep to the team.
  13. The two biggest issues with BJ as I see them is first he is a mediocre pass QB. Plane to see that he just cannot throw a decent ball consistently. The second is his inability to see the entire field. He decides before getting to the line if he is going left or right and that is it. He never looks off a defender, never looks to the opposite side of the field. Perfect example was tonight when they commented that USF needed to run a double move to break open a long play on a defender jumping the route. We go trips right, solo left, BJ never even looked away. You can call it every time.
  14. We have the smallest backs in FBS try to but through the middle. Stoopid.... Poor coaching, not the QB. He scored on his first attempt only to have it called back.
  15. Skip, maybe what we do is rotate our coaches. Skip can run the WBB, Stan can try baseball, Maybe we get Gigi back to coach football.
  16. I am still in. Staying in Sunny Isles, and will tailgate with the Horny U flying.
  17. Matt Grothe as the HC? That is even more ridiculous then when the G'ville crowd thought Lord Tebow could be next HC. I say go to the NFL. Not sure who, but bring some passion back to the team. At least under CJL we had fire in our bellies.
  18. Well maybe some of the former players making it in the NFL will support a buyout. The fans can only hope that those with the means will send a message. Really? Outside of Anthony Henry what has any of them really done for the program once they left? If I missed something list it, because I do not recall any news of the rest of the NFL guys ever really putting anything back into the school or the program.
  19. Dude, unless you have Woolard on your cell phone it does not matter. If you cannot call his office your e-mail is not getting to him, and the school will not react. Sorry, the way it is. NOW, keep this slide up, watch the revenue stream drop from another year of no bowl, no season tickets, and no sponsorship, and see the U-haul loading the Holtz's south Tampa house for South Bend.
  20. If you are truly a Bulls fan, and more importantly an alumnus, you should not feel that you were suckered. You should feel aggrevation, but get here and support your school. That is what is truly needed in these dark days of Skip. Like AA we need the support of each other.
  21. I am just so upset. We used to at least have one of the best defenses out there. After three years the slide in the most basic plays, no not even plays, skills, is just heart wrenching. You look at the guys we put in the NFL, Holtz has destroyed that part of our team. After three seasons of watching every BCS school beat us on every 3rd and long, usually right over the middle you would think someone on the staff would put linebackers in the middle at the first down markers.
  22. I started the Fire Stan thread weeks ago in anticipation of them losing in the first 10 games.
  23. Any Pop Warner coach can fix this team with just basic tackling drills. Why in the hell are we back to these shoulder tackles. EVERY play they gain an extra 4+ yards because they drive us back. Any youth coach teaches players the low man wins. These running backs will tire if they are tripped and hit on the hip all game. As for offense, not much I can say there. Execution when it counts. I mean, Temple played the end perfect, wait for the overthrow. Skip has no strengths. No offense, no defense, and he is not recruiting, end of story.
  24. **** you go cheer that queer with the Pats. Judy is not to blame...
