  1. You know as well as I do that nearly every college and university in the country goes by their initials. OK maybe not every, but a lot. Either that or they go by their state such as Michigan, Oklahoma, etc. There is no state of South Florida. Don't care that San Francisco and Sioux Falls also go by USF. We don't intersect with them very often, if at all.
  2. I don't like it. Should have been left alone as USF. Why was this branding changed. Bad idea.
  3. What an amazing offense. Will we ever see again an offense like the one we saw with QF, Mack, Rodney Adams, and MVS all on the field. The Flowers and Mack rushing combo was fantastic.
  4. Great offenses puts butts in seats and gets people excited about program.
  5. We're still playing almost everyone we are currently playing. Navy, Memphis, ECU, Temple, Tulsa, Tulane, SMU. The schedule isn't that much worse. Essentially UCF, Houston, and Cincinnati are replaced by FAU, UTSA, and UAB. Are they as good, probably not, but they are still decent. UTSA for example has gone 19-4 the last 2 years. They aren't bad. We will still have to work to get wins.
  6. He's getting 3 games of experience right now. That's not a big sample size, but you can gauge a lot over the course of 3 games. Did he drastically improve the team. Did he improve the defense. Did guys play hard for him. Does he capture the locker room, etc. What if he really is the next equivalent of Jose Fernandez, and you pass up on him.
  7. I watched his press conference and was impressed. He looks like he can get players to run through a brick wall for him.
  8. I watched his press conference and it's clear he is driven and full of energy. Is there anything Coach Da Prato can do that would lead you to support him as the full time head coach. This won't happen, but let's say the Bulls shut down SMU this week, after scoring 77 last week, and USF goes 3-0 during the last 3 games. Would that be enough in your mind to hand the job over to Da Prato, or is it absolutely certain that USF must hire someone from the outside, no matter the results the final 3 games.
  9. Correct. Charlotte and FAMU might be the only two teams we would be favored against. Might. We could lose to Charlotte also. New teams like UTSA, UAB, and North Texas would probably blow us out. Some of these teams are actually decent.
  10. It's not very important. This season has essentially been given up on. Now, no one will come out and say that, but that's basically what happened. Players WILL hit the transfer portal. Expect players like Battie, Weaver, Horn, etc. to be gone. Maybe Bohanon too, since Scott brought him in. I am expecting every decent player to be gone. A new coach, however, WILL stock his guys from the transfer portal, so don't be overly worried about this. The guys that I just mentioned, while talented players, didn't win USF any games. There are equally talented players that will be sitting around in the portal waiting to get scooped up. This season has essentially been scrapped in order to find a new coach. Expect to get blown out the next 3 games and finish 1-11. If that doesn't happen, then be happy, but expect it to. The closest game of the last 3 may be the UCF game, because hey rivalry and all. It's easier for players to get up for one game. Still think UCF wins going away though.
  11. Top 3 for me are Leavitt, Deion, and Scott Frost. But honestly, it doesn't matter who they hire at this point. It would be virtually impossible for anyone to have a worse record or do a worse job than Scott. They could put a cardboard cutout of Deion on the sideline and have the same record as Jeff Scott. Anyone they hire is going to do better.
  12. What have you been watching. He's completing 60 percent of his passes with 4 TD's and 0 INT's. He's not the problem, the defense is. Marsh can pass the ball. Are you trying to lose us this game?
  13. Very conservative call in kicking a 45 yard FG into wind as a 1-7 football team.
  14. Gerry B is the best hope we have for any turnaround next year. He's seasoned and he's a good QB. Where else are we gonna find a QB? Quinton Flowers isn't dropping in anytime soon.
  15. I'm so apathetic at this point, I don't care if they fire Scott or not. USF will figure out a way to screw up any situation, including a coaching hire. Does it really matter at this point? USF is who they are right now, and probably always will be. A nobody. A bad group of 5 football program that can't hire anyone worth two cents, can't recruit anyone, and can't get anything done. We are who we thought we were. (Bring up the Dennis Green video). A nobody football program, no one will ever want for anything. The faster you get that through your head the better off your life will be. Get it through your skull once and for all. 16. Wrong. You can't win without a competent QB. You just can't. Yeah, you need to recruit the O line we all know that, but teams that win have good QB's. End of story. We haven't had any since QF. GB looked like he may have some potential, then he got hurt. You have to chase a good QB in college football. It's that important.
  17. I wouldn't say we have no chance. We definitely had a chance to beat 3 good teams, Florida, Cincinnati, and Tulane. We just continue to bumble them away with stupidity. Due to our comical errors every week, we almost need to play a perfect game each week. But I woulnd't say this team has no chance to beat one of the next 3 opponents, Temple, SMU, and Tulsa. USF has a good chance, but will probably bumble all of them away due to unforced errors, if we're going off history.
  18. Game within game, Marsh played well overall. Yes, I know he missed Weaver and Dollison, and can't run like Bohanon, but he just played fairly well overall. If your defense gives up 42, you just aren't going to win that many games. Statistically, he played really well. No turnovers. Took care of ball. Completed 70 percent of passes. Guided offense to 27 points (and probably should have had more if not for bad coaching decisions). Do you honestly think any of the other backup QB's give USF a better chance of winning games at this point. While I'm not certain, I don't think it's likely. Marsh is a 3rd year guy and deserves his shot, unless the other guys are clearly better. And they probably aren't.
  19. Wouldn't blame him. I expect a lot of players to hit the portal after season. Why continue to struggle through 1 win seasons. All of the joy out of playing football is gone at that point.
  20. It will never end. USF will never stop making stupid mistakes. USF coaches will never stop making boneheaded calls. It just won't. The faster you get that through your head, the better off your life will be. I expect nothing from USF under Scott. I am watching this for comedic purposes at this point.
  21. He's had a very small sample size. 26 passes is not a lot of passes. Everyone watching can see he did some good things vs. Tulane, as well as some bad. But showed some potential and has a great arm. He should be able to hit Horn on deep shots. The wheel route he threw he dropped it right in a bucket. He can throw the ball.
  22. I’m actually excited to see what Marsh can do. He has an absolute cannon. Is he mobile not really but I don’t think he’s a statue either. He can move around a little.
