  1. Glad Battie is remaining that is huge. With Bohanon, Brown, and Battie, plus whatever WR's CAG brings in, I have no doubt the offense will put up big numbers next year. I watched highlights from this WR from Wagner that we are bringing in and he looks fast and smooth, so hopefully he pans out.
  2. He's a high school kid. What kind of weight and nutrition program do you think he was on. He can easily be beefed up to 285, maybe 290 or so. That's plenty big enough for a rotational DL. He probably won't see a whole lot of time his freshman year so he will have time to beef up. You need those kind of developmental players. As long as USF brings in a couple transfer DL's they will be fine.
  3. He just got here and is still adding players. He got 7 or 8 commits yesterday alone.
  4. CAG tweeted out this morning more big news, so apparently there are more commits. I'm not worried about a 261 pound DL. Weight can be added.
  5. Well CAG did reel in two 4 star transfers today also, so not against stars. But yeah these underated FCS guys that have a chip on their shoulder can pay big dividends also.
  6. Wagner is FCS. He put up big numbers at an FCS school, 50 receptions last year. There are a lot of FCS players that can play on FBS level and at a high level if given the chance.
  7. Simmons had 50 receptions for nearly 800 yards and 6 TD's for FCS Wagner last season. Solid pickup looks to be a big play receiver. We will find out if that transfers over to FBS level. Horn replacement??
  8. 4 star DE transfer from Florida 4 star DB transfer from Oklahoma 3 star OL flip from Old Dominion.
  9. Let's see who Golesh brings in before making that statement. If he brings in equal to superior talent than to what left, then no we aren't. If he doesn't then USF is to a certain extent, but I want to see who he brings in first and am giving him the chance to do that first before commenting.
  10. I want something like McLane Stadium at Baylor. I believe Populous designed it. Look it up. I drive past it in Waco all the time and it is awesome looking. Seats 45K. Has shade overhangs. I believe this is something like we would consider, although on a slightly smaller scale.
  11. Dude Grier is gone, give it up. He went to UCF. A poor decision in my opinion, but oh well. Don't care at this point. Golesh will find someone out of the portal and fill in the needs.
  12. A good offensive coordinator that most people here were happy with and many wanted to retain. The offense did their job this year, despite record. For example, the last two games of year with a freshman QB, we scored 42 and 39 points and lost both games due to our horrendous defense. You will see a lot of creative play calling with motion and misdirection, designed to get guys open and in space. He did a good job at USF.
  13. It's not completely clear cut. Marsh has an elite NFL type arm. He just does. I mean he has an absolute cannon. Coaches get enamored with that. Also March, if you look strictly at his stats, did not do terrible. 7 TD's vs. 2 Int's is good in anyone's book. Then you have the factor that Marsh put in 3 years to the program, so naturally if it's close you're going to go with him over a freshman that just showed up, unless that freshman is clearly way better. Brown is better than Marsh, but remember we have still only seen a small sample size of Brown. Then you have the factor that Brown was limited to 4 games without burning a redshirt.
  14. They don't. The power conference term is a made-up term, not made by the NCAA, but by media and others. The NCAA calls them autonomy conferences. And there are currently 5 conferences that are autonomous. If the AAC ever became an autonomous conference, then they probably would be considered a power conference. Aresco was supposedly working on this, but I doubt he got anywhere.
  15. They won't. It benefits the media to use this term, so that the conferences they cover are known as "power" conferences, since they are paying so much money to cover them. It also benefits the "power" conferences to be labeled as "power", so they will all be pushing this at every opportunity. Expect CFB analysts and so called insiders like McMurphy and the like to continue to push the power vs. group of 5 label. I've basically accepted it at this point. Even guys like the TBT's Matt Baker recently labeled USF a "mid-major" in a recent article or tweet I saw. What's mid major about USF. Was USF a "mid-major" when they were in the Big East? What changed about the university, other than conference affiliation?
  16. Back to recruiting, do we have any commits since CAG got here?
