  1. Is CAG trying to recruit some of our players that entered the portal back to USF.
  2. I'm not smoking anything. I have watched them a lot. Google Frank Harris their QB and look up his stats. The pollsters agree with me. They are ranked in every single poll including the CFP poll. They have gone 12-2 and 11-2 the past two years.
  3. UTSA is a lot better than Memphis. They are really good and will be again next year, if all their seniors come back for another year. They are equivalent to Cincinnati and Tulane. The schedule is a lot worse though, than this year overall. We should win multiple games next year just by doing nothing. If we actually improve the potential is there to make a big leap.
  4. Doesn't seem like a slick talker or used car salesman just an ole ball coach. Didn't hear any catchy slogans just nervous energy and excitement out of Golesh. I like this guy.
  5. I have to be honest. I liked CAG's first team speech better than Deion's. The more I hear and learn, the more he is winning me over.
  6. Interview process: MK: Alex, nice to meet you. Would you like to be the USF head coach? AG: Uh, not sure, you've been pretty bad. MK: Pretty, please? I will give you anything you want. I struck out on all my other choices and I need you bad. If you win 2 games, I will extend you for 15 years! AG: Ah, well screw it, sure, I guess so. MK: Yay. I can't wait to sell this to the USF fan base as my number one guy. I GOT MY GUY!!! The end.
  7. Explain to me why McMurphy can break USF stories, but local guys like Baker and Knight can't.
  8. Well, we went the Jeff Scott route again. Hope it works out this time.
  9. OK maybe so, but he wasn't working on backup plans the past 4 weeks? And if not, why not. He's flying in random no name dudes today a month after Scott was fired.
  10. So we are back to the Jeff Scott route of looking at coordinators with no head coaching experience. What exactly has MK been up to the last 4 weeks.
  11. Old folks can still be passionate about their job. Why do we always need a 35 or 40 year old coach. Exactly what I thought a few minutes ago. I literally googled Mack Brown a few minutes ago prior to seeing this post and found out he was 71 years old.
  12. Scott is trying to win at freaking Howard. From what I hear he has been successful recruiting to Howard which is not exactly easy to do. He has head coaching experience, and hasn't been horrible. At least he knows how to run a program. None of the other guys have any experience doing that. We are almost out of options at this point. I am not necessarily for Scott, but if we are going with the he bleeds green and gold route, then might as well look at him. Maybe he would stick around awhile if he gets successful.
  13. If we are going with the cares about USF route, then might as well look at Larry Scott also.
  14. You can believe whatever you want to believe, but most if not all of us weren't there. Leavitt was a very high strung emotional guy. It would not surprise me in the least if he put his hands on the player. If I had to make a bet whether he did or didn't grab the kid, I'm going with he did. We've all seen video of him growling and yelling running up the sidelines. He's very intense. Something happened. What I do not know. Has he learned from this? I would be OK from Leavitt but let's not kid ourselves that USF just out and out lied and that he's an innocent angel. Something happened. Maybe not to the level USF said, but if I had to bet, he put his hands on the kid in some way. You can't really do that anymore. I would support a Leavitt hire. Mainly because there is no one that cared about USF football more than him, but he's not a perfect coach or man. He probably was a little bit of an ego maniac. Maybe that's what we need right now. Some passion. And frankly, we are almost out of options at this point.
  15. According to sources, the deal was 90 percent done. He had basically agreed to everything and was just working out the contract. We were either lied to or MK bungled this search more than any AD in history. One or the other happened.
  16. Fire Michael Kelly. This is the most bungled, mishandled, haphazard coaching hire in the history of coaching hires. Unless he pulls a rabbit out of his hat, he needs to go. Period. FAU managed to fire, interview, and hire Tom Herman in a matter of hours/days. Kelly fired Scott a month ago. Enough said. End this mess NOW!!!!
  17. Really. This is what we are down to. No thanks. A boring hire if I ever heard of one, which also means Kelly struck out big time. Do not want.
  18. At this point I would want Taggart over some of these chumps being mentioned.
  19. If MK bungles this as bad as it appears he is bungling it, then he needs to go, plain and simple.
  20. Wouldn't be surprised to see the whole team in portal by the time MK gets around to hiring someone.
  21. Totally agree. Kelly has screwed this up from the beginning. FAU fired Taggart and hired Herman in a matter of days. MK fired Scott on Nov 6 and has been sitting around on his hands. He has nothing and everyone knows he has nothing. He will hire some third rate or 4th rate candidate and try to sell us it was his guy all along.
  22. Stop pushing this. No one, ok very few want Kerwin Bell. Just stop pushing this name.
  23. Now would be a good time. MK sat around on his hands while everyone else was making moves and now he has nothing. Nothing.
