    He was recruiting for college, not the NFL. As we know, USF has shown a persistent inability to recruit talent for an NFL style system. Thus, while this is an interesting data point, it doesn't change my view on him as a recruiter. Edit: and for the record, Wilcox was overrated, just like every TE we've ever had... people (including me) are desperate for a real stud TE at USF. We've had glimmers but never fulfilled promise.

    You don't need to read the Spring reports, they say the same thing every year. Here, I'll recap: A bunch of players set new weight room records! We are getting stronger! Offense thrown and run for a bunch of TDs in practice! We are getting better! Defense got a bunch of turnovers in spring game prep! We are a turnover machine! If everything keeps going well, this will be the best year yet! Etc.

    Interesting. I thought it was just a timing thing but this makes sense I guess. Surprised we could get these two as non scholarship transfers.

    I think Peek and Sackett are scholarship transfers from what I read. The latter two are PWOs (as they are freshmen).

    It's getting harder and harder to differentiate satire from legit commentary on this board, but assuming we've moved past the general unease about him staying on through Clemson's season, I for one am impressed that he had a national championship game on Monday and was back in Tampa networking and fundraising for USF on Tuesday.

    You’re right, maybe too strong. I just know that it was the first thing that popped in my mind when the same thing happened (on the other end) to us a couple years ago. I’ll admit totally knee jerk gut reaction though.

    I get it... you have to look out for yourself. I don't hold any grudges on that front, but by the same token I think it's also fair to call it out as chicken **** when you see a guy that bolts after committing to coach somewhere just a couple weeks earlier.

    Bolting after 2 weeks seems like bad form. I recall Autry Denson did the same thing to us several years back, seemed like a ****** thing to do.
