    Looks like The Jim is trying to put some of the old band back together. FAU just hired NC State DL coach Kevin Patrick to coach LBs. http://fauowlaccess.com/staff-additions/15095/2019/12/30/ Coached the USF DL in 1997, 1998, 2008-2013. Seems like a demotion until you realize NC State just fired most of the 2019 defensive coaches and he’s from that area. The game on 9/26 is going to be fun. Maybe we can fill up the stadium with USF green.

    Looks like KJ maybe have gotten a couple of more transfers for next season. Doesn't say who. I know earlier than this tweet he said there were more xfers coming. I think this roster will look very different by the time next season kicks off.

    Oh yeah. Forgot Smith will likely commit also. Rygol is still a walk on with like 2-3 other walk ons. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Evans moved elsewhere.

    I could be wrong but I think Shaun King is a nice guy and get's along well with most of the players. That is probably why he has had some success at recruiting. However, I haven't seen anything to lend me to believe that he is a great coach. I suspect he will always be that fun guy coach that is kind of hidden on any coaching staff.

    We used helmet stickers/award decals before? I don't recall those. What were they? Little Iconic U's? Bull hoof prints? Little bull horns?

    Sounded like Torello is just floating a name that would be interested in coming here. I would say our QB job is wide open. Right now we have 3 scholarship QB's in Fortin (3 yrs eligibility) , McCloud (3 years) and Evans (4 years assuming this year was a redshirt). All indications point to USF signing Hunter Helms later in the recruiting period. So you would have 4 guys with lots of eligibility. I doubt we would have more than 5 scholarship QB's. So I guess it's possible but CJS may have some other plans with transfers at QB.

    You could make a case that the water ski jump/ jump the shark scene was the peak of Henry Winkler's popularity..... literally.

    I think Leavitt has done well all things considered. You may say....well how happy would he be with the DC job at FAU but he is only 3 hours away from his 94 year old mother. It's slightly closer than FSU. Had he stayed at Colorado versus going to Oregon....he would have made about $400,000 less for 2 years and would have still been fired. Had he stayed at K-State as a DC in 1995 and taken some other job.....who knows how that would have played out.

    It will be interesting to see what this team will look like prior to the 2020 season. For example, we didn’t know anything about KJ Sails until May of this year. Who knows who will transfer where.

    I think many of us saw how bad the CCS hire was sometime in 2018.

    I fully expect that by 9/5/20, the expectations will be no worse than 10-3.

    Without know who is transferring here, I seriously doubt we can predict anything about next season. I am much more optimistic about next season versus last season. This time last year I thought we were looking at 2-10 to 4-8. Now I think we are closer to 5-7 to 6-6.

    We may actually have quite a few QBs here by the fall. Assuming they all come back: McCloud, Evans and the the 4 walk ons, Rygol, Debiase, Frost, Trina, Xfer Fortin Commit Jordan Smith. Likely commit Hunter Helms. Possibly another transfer. Maybe Clemson backup Chase Brice?

    I don’t know anything specific but one of the Clemson fans suggested maybe Thomas Austin, OL coach at Georgia State.     Actually the more I look at this, all of these guys at UTSA we’re on the fired Chad Morris Arkansas staff together. I could see where if he was likely to make more money at USF on Jeff Scott’s staff, it is possible where Jeff Traylor was on board with him making the move after only a couple of weeks.

    I get Jeff Scott not wanting to hire a bunch of older guys with HC experience. If you are in his shoes. 38 years old. First time Head Coach at this level....do you really want a bunch of older former head coaches around? I could see them undermining you the 1st minute they don't agree with one of your decisions. I am sure there will be a learning curve.
