  1. Actually cee, I would have to disagree with you on that one. Pat has never ever played the roll of Dr. Jeckyl....that would imply that he was good some times. Julmiste is ALWAYS Mr. Hyde. However, the rest of our team has been able to overcome his bad habits at home better than on the road. Granted Julmiste only turns the ball over inside our 30 on the road where as at home he turns it over more in the center of the field. If that is what you meant then I could agree with that anology. Yet that would be more like. Mr. Hyde vs. Mr Hyde on crack ;D
  2. Personally, I don't think any QB on this team will "take" us to a bowl. I still think a bowl game is a possibility but only because there are so many bowls and think we can still hit the 6-5 maybe 7-4 mark. That said, I have no defense for Julmiste...he's awful....much like Ronnie Banks was awful. I wouldn't mind seeing Leavitt continue his trickeration and run gimmick offenses until we do have a QB. Why not put Hill back there with Denson and see what the 2 athletes can do together? Maybe alternate direct snaps to one of the 2 QB's or have Hall throw some passes....he's completed the 2 that he's attempted.
  3. Actually I think we could be a very dominant team in the Big East if we could just find a QB that doesn't always turn over the ball inside our 30 yard line. That being said, since we are soooo 1 dimensional on offense, why don't we embrace it until we can find a qb that can throw the ball to people wearing the same colored jersey. Lets run the wishbone/wing-t/veere/ ala Major Harris against West Virginia. Sit Pat for good. Have Denson over center. Hall and Ponton in the backfield with Jackson swinging around every play. I know it's an annoying offense that doesn't really work over the long haul but I hated to see us play someone who ran it when we were I-AA. I can still see Western Kentucky running all over the place on us. Hey what do we got to lose....by doing that we cannot throw interceptions thus our opponent may actually have to drive down the field on offense.
  4. I doubt we will have any problems with Cinci, we will be at home for that game and we are a very Jeckyl and Hyde team based on if we are at home or on the road.
  5. Well I did not see Pariah's post till after I posted mine but apparently we had the exact same thought. It all sounds good but really nothing new is being done. Also, why make the players come to the student section every game, they do this out of passion anyway. Now we are making it a FORMAL tradition?
  6. Don't I recall them saying that they did not receive any FORMAL complaints when all of this happened?  ???
  7. I don't know if someone already posted this but it's cool to see our logo with all those big names. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writers/stewart_mandel/09/27/power.rankings/1.html
  8. I have quite a few coming to this game and a few of them have some really young kids....is there any discount of some kind for kids like 2 and under? I went to the main athletic site but I didn't see anything about kids. If anyone knows anything I'd greatly appreciate your imput. Thanks  :-/
  9. I think we all know about the trouble PJ has had and I don't expect him to be the starter next year.....but what does it say about him that he has been caught by Anthony Severino? He's been the starter for 1 and a half seasons, and even if he doesn't have the talent, one would think the playbook would be 2nd nature to him by now. :-/
  10. ``There was an incident that required some investigation,'' Jefferson County High principal Michael Bryan said. ``Carlton will be suspended while the investigation is being carried out. Exactly how much "investigation" does this situation really need?
  11. I like having all these options as opposed to what we have had to deal with the last 2 seasons. Lets start Banks.....er no PJ....uh that's not working, how about Gachette, Severino, can Andre Hall throw....? ;D
  12. I imagine we will constantly run into this from the bigger schools. We are doing good to compete with schools to keep the head coaches salary decent. It's gotta be a lot harder to keep position and assistannt coaches. Especially since Dawsey appears to be a good recruiter.
  13. Why is it, everytime I hear the C4 nickname.....I can't help but think of Chris Rock in CB40. ;D
  14. I would have to agree Denson probably has the inside track. I remember an article earlier in the year where JL said he had a guy on the scout team that was way better than Blackwell was.
  15. If FSU currently has 13 commits and per this article they want 25......something doesn't add up. Maybe Bowden is starting to lose his recruiting touch.
  16. Well if it's any consolation, shutting off the guest viewing on LOI day will get some "lurkers" like myself to register. ;D
  17. I know we are not in the market for this guy but to you recruiting gurus.... is it unusual for a recruit to take a visit after National Signing day? This was in the SPT today and for a second, I thought LOI day was next week. I know they don't have to sign on Wednesday but I cannot remember someone taking a visit this late. MOVING ON: Miami is no longer willing to wait for Tallahassee Lincoln receiver Fred Rouse , the Times Blue Chip prospect of the year, rivals.com reported. Rouse visited Florida State last weekend and is scheduled to visit Texas this weekend. He previously visited Alabama and Miami.
