    Seems like Kelley has missed more games than he’s played during his time at USF. A dynamic player, for sure, but he has quite a hard time staying healthy.

    I see they played a fall ball DH at Stetson today and won both games - 10-5 and 5-0

    Memphis, Tulane and UTSA are all going to have wins, but none of them were easy or comfortable.

    Hmmmm, yeah. My point is, if they don’t win 5 of the last 6 last year and go to the NCAA Tournament, Butehorn may be gone. His contract was nearing its end. Then they follow that up with a big nothing this year (and does it matter if they’re one-goal losses?). Not saying it’s a carbon copy of baseball, but if Mohl doesn’t have the finish in 2021 that he had, is he still employed? And the next season he goes under .500.

    Charlotte has to be a win for us, given what I saw last night. That’s a bad football team. It’s not AAC, but today I’m all, LET’S GO MOUNTAINEERS!

    They’re running into the tougher part of their conference schedule right now, so I wouldn’t expect too much down the stretch. Regardless, they have shown life this year, so the arrow could point up if they can build on it going forward.

    Not exactly sure where this program is going under Bob Butehorn. They had a baseball-like run at the end of last season that may have saved his job and then followed it up with another clunker this year. George Keifer set a high bar with this program that has deteriorated under Butehorn. Sure hope we don’t see the same thing happen on the women’s side now.

    She’s right up there with Jose and Ken. Great job and she will be missed.

    Only 2 games worth thinking about - Temple and Charlotte.

    Not a lot of people had us at .500 after 8 games. And not to get too far ahead, but It feels to me like the home finale vs. Charlotte could wind up being a “playoff” game to reach the postseason.

    It’s obviously going to be a really weird year, but winning like that is something we don’t do. Credit where it’s due. Change the culture of losing one step at a time.

    Not a bad defensive effort today. No help on the other side of the ball. Still a very long way to go before we have a competitive football team. On to hoops.
