I maintain that the most important thing we need in a hoops head coach is a guy who can out-X and O people. We’re never going to out-talent people, so bringing in a coach who is supposed to have recruiting chops does us little good. We’re flat out not going to sign difference-making athletes. Never have. We need a Mike Brey or John Beilein type who can put in a system and get a bunch of solid guys to just play together and consistently do the little things right.
As Brad has noted multiple times, we flat out do not defend. Can’t play man-to-man defense at all. Everyone gets broken down off the dribble and then when help comes it leaves shooters open all over the floor.
Had a great time tonight at RJS. Just got home. Perfect weather. Nice touches at the stadium. All-around enjoyable night. Go Bulls! Great first step for Golesh, et al.
It’s definitely an improvement over the black and slime versions, but I still don’t understand the infatuation. We have a FANTASTIC standard look with the green jerseys and gold helmets. Unbeatable, I’d say.
We don’t play nearly as fast. Used to seeing us get the ball off the glass and push it for easy baskets. We don’t have the skill or legs to do that this season.
