  1. You can’t set a precedent and keep unbeaten FSU out, and Bama/Georgia can’t argue against it if they want the same consideration if it happened to their QB.
  2. Isn’t he also the same guy who thinks the best player on the women’s team is Janette Aarnio, who Jose has pretty much buried on the bench since she got here?
  3. The way they did it today: NOT the same old South Florida!
  4. That’s what I get for giving up! Down 2-0 on the road? C’mon? Guts!
  5. Looks like that’s the end of the road, but a really nice season with 20 wins.
  6. I guess we can hope they both turn it around like Tyler Harris did last year after a really rough shooting start.
  7. Chris Youngblood and Kobe Knox are a combined 8-53 from behind the arc. Time to take the ball to the basket, fellas.
  8. OK, so a couple of scenarios: 1) Blueblood program has once-in-a-generation, Heisman-caliber QB. C-USA program stumbles upon donor who says, I’ll pay that QB $50-million. QB transfers to C-USA program. How loudly does blueblood program scream for reform/restrictions? 2) NCAA has QB class like 1983 (Marino, Elway, Kelly). Blue blood programs have been paying said QBs $50-million a year for 2/3 years. Said QBs talk and decide - “We have more money than we’ll ever spend, why risk knees, shoulders, brain to play in the NFL? Might as well call it quits now.” How loud does NFL scream for reform/restrictions?
  9. Don’t you work in the legal field? Your whole career is based on restrictions being in place.
  10. Nope. Just want a level playing field - not free agency. Put some restrictions in place.
  11. What’s happening today will be the death of college sports and will eventually kill my personal fandom, that’s for sure. The day we lose an important guy like BB because someone pays him is the day I become nothing more than a casual observer. And, really, the sad thing is, it’s inevitable. It’s not “if” it happens with one of our guys, it’s when. I have very minor interest in pro sports and no interest at all in following a feeder program for ones with big money boosters.
  12. I’d be shocked if it got any better vs. UMass or FSU. Looks like the next chance to compete is Dec. 12, so let’s come back in a couple weeks and see if they can dig out at all.
  13. Amir has the usual grace period, but right now, it looks like he has no answers with this bunch, and that’s a bit troubling.
  14. Feels like Miguel is trying to be that, but it’s tough when you can only go to your right.
  15. We’re not going round and round on that again. I’m just looking for coaches who can make us annually competitive - not guys who give us multiple throwaway seasons where we’re playing out the string by mid-season and an occasional up.
  16. Easy now. I feel OK about Golesh, too, but he beat teams with a combined record of 20-39. LOTS left to prove.
  17. Right. Way too early to make any real judgment, but you’d like to see us be competitive right away - not losing at home to Maine and getting ripped by Hofstra. No. But he did keep them.
  18. I HATE that guy’s game and I expected A LOT more than we’ve seen so far from Youngblood. He’s the biggest disappointment so far. There’s a long way to go, but each passing game feels like the hole is getting deeper.
  19. Can’t argue that the track record is pretty poor - although sticking with Jolene is looking better and Golesh is showing potential. Butehorn, Mohl and whatever men’s hoops becomes are big question marks.
