    Hice. What a clown, thinking that was a good idea. But I guess we should thank him. The result was the entire university embracing a logo mark that is universally embraced and should NEVER be changed.

    Regular-season finale. Bulls win and they leap Rice to finish 3rd in the 14-team league. A really nice accomplishment.

    I need to see Placer play well against quick, athletic guards. UNI didn’t have that, so it was a better matchup for him.

    From his bio, this guy might be a big addition at PG. Placer hasn’t shown anything through the first two games - THREE assists in 38 minutes? I like Reid a lot (12 assists and just ONE turnover in 41 minutes!) and if Jennings can play, maybe he sends Placer to the bench.

    The lack of overall speed is the issue on defense. UTSA proved it clearly. Recruit guys who can run. The sideline reporter even pointed it out at one point: “USF doesn’t have the speed to run with UTSA.” Quite honestly, the same goes on offense. We need to seriously improve our overall team speed if we’re going to get better and compete with good teams.

    UTSA has FIFTEEN redshirt seniors on their roster and FOURTEEN seniors. That’s going to be a major roster makeover next season. Good time to take another job if you are UTSA’s Coach.

    OK, so it was pretty obvious we weren’t beating these guys this year. Gotta say, though, I have to laugh a bit about how they’re falling all over themselves to pump up Frank Harris. The dude is 24 and has been in college for 7 years. He’s doing exactly what he should be doing at this point - especially against this defense.

    Pass defense is what we know it is and the offense always goes through a lull. Pretty predictable. When it was 14-14, I said we’ll finish the half down 28-14. Bingo. Right where we are. They score to open the second half - turn out the lights. One question: with all the 5/6/7 year guys on UTSA’s roster, is this year their last hurrah?

    Football has had a nice rebound season, but volleyball takes the prize. Early in the season, it looked like the same old story, but they kept on building momentum and had one heck of a year. Great job and hopefully it’s the beginning of building a team that can compete annually for a conference title.
