  1. Plane is leaving and completely stoked for the game. We are doing the tailgate buffet thing and going to have a blast. Section 128 seats so really good. Go Bulls!! Horns up.
  2. Nice win. Fun team to watch. Defense is the key and momentum plays creating streaks of points. Optimism growing…
  3. I have found fuboTV combined with ESPN+ covers almost all USF stuff. Way less than what I paid before
  4. Absolutely correct. Money in this story that is playing out is like “my precious” in the Lord of the Rings…everyone wants it but it only destroys who has it. It isn’t funny at all what is happening. We are watching something that is unsustainable…it’s in an uncontrolled feedback loop.
  5. Sadly I don’t think that helps them. The $$ difference between the ACC and the big 2 conferences is too substantial for things to remain the same. FSU and Clemson and the other big schools want to be on equal footing with them and that alone will kill it. Something needs to give and soon or college football will continue self-imploding
  6. Yes, and after Texas and Oklahoma leave the Big 12 that conference will be in the same boat as well. The ACC and Big 12 are both sinking ships. There is absolutely no doubt that the SEC and BiG are considered to be superior conference. It will be them and everyone else. I think, as many are now considering inevitable, that the larger programs from the ACC and Big 12 will eventually end up in the SEC or Big 10. It really won't matter much if we are in the AAC, Big 12, or ACC, they will all be in the same boat soon enough. It is honestly fine with me. It will still be enjoyable football to watch and competitive with a lot of parody. Only so many players can go to the biggest schools. Enjoy the ride Bulls fans. Its ok.
  7. 3 of us flying down from Ohio to watch the game. Super excited to go to my first bowl game. Go Bulls!!
  8. The problem with the selection committee was the hypocrisy of the entire thing. They choose Alabama/Texas on the premise that they had a tougher SOS and thus the one loss doesn't matter. Then, in the same breath, Liberty is chosen over SMU for the NY6 bowl even when Liberty had a SOS of 133 and an FPI of 49. The hypocrisy of the entire system is breathtaking. Liberty wouldn't score 2 touchdowns on SMU and would get beaten horribly. They can't have it both ways. Either records only matter or strength of schedules and fpi and all the metrics matter. The whole thing is absurd. It was a biased decision. I am no FSU fan by any imagination but this year was as SEC biased as I had ever seen. Just my humble opinion.
  9. I’m guessing the playoff stays unchanged and Georgia just moves down to #4. Washington, FSU and Michigan all move up one spot. Regarding the G5 new years bowl representative I think it will be SMU. Liberty fans will be upset but SMU is rated higher, by a huge margin, in all respects.
  10. Don’t be surprised if SMU makes the NY6 bowl. Their SOS is tons higher than Liberty.
  11. I agree 100% with this. I love college football and follow the Bulls faithfully. However, when it becomes more like a feeder program, I’ll be gone. I don’t watch the NFL because the money corrupted it and it’s going this way with college. Sad.
  12. If you have that deep of pockets then don’t go with a lesser power 5 coach or G5 coach. Go big or go home and see how it works. Go for teams that are sitting right now in the top 15 rankings. Any of them you think could be swayed by a huge contract. It seems that is how college football is going so why not. I’m not saying that is how it should be but when you are paying a $76 million dollar buyout then money is no object. Get who you want.
  13. That is what was said about Alabama as well. That is also what everyone thought against UCF and Florida last year. Big games against a perceived rival and then records and stats get thrown out. It will be what it is but don't expect it to look like UAB/FAU. For another example look at Auburn / Alabama on Saturday. By records and stats Alabama should have won easily. Our problem against UAB/FAU was that we were immature and didn't realize what CAG has been saying...foot on the gas every game, all game. We came in flat and emotionally unprepared and got whacked. That won't happen against the community college in Orlando.
  14. All these teams that transitioned were down. Cincinnati, Houston, and those not named were all going to be mediocre this year anyway. Tulane / SMU would be in the championship game even if those teams were still in the conference. So, moving up to a tougher conference, just made it look even worse.
  15. I don't agree with this. If this game happens my family and some friends will be flying down from Ohio for the game. I suspect a USF / UCF game would draw 50,000+. I know everyone in my circle is stoked for this to happen. It definitely would not be a meaningless bowl. Whether people like it or not UCF is still our rival. Personally, I would love to see this game and we stomp them. The players will feel that way too. It would be on.
  16. Budget and money don't mean you will win. Jimbo struggled in the same scenario and he had as big a name as you can get. It is risky for the program. Give a poor coach or poor talent recognizer or poor talent developer and you will still lose. The coach at Duke, in my opinion, is unproven. He did not win big at Duke and even this season was mediocre. A & M could have gone bigger than the Duke coach if their budget was truly unlimited.
  17. Really not a great year this year. If you can’t win in the ACC the SEC will destroy you. Seems risky. Maybe I’m wrong. Guess we’ll see.
  18. Feels like a C- season in the grand scope of things but compared to where we’ve been, and grading on that curve, it’s an A+. It is two different scales.
  19. The A&M hire seems stupid. I don’t see that working out. Also, IMHO, Napier is gone.
  20. I personally would like a USF-UCF matchup being out of state with lots of family in Florida. I could take the family for a mini vacation and catch the game against our old nemesis. That would be a good time. Accommodations for free always makes it better
  21. Agree 100%. The game was lost during the two possessions in the 2nd quarter where we were at midfield and did nothing. Also, where are the tight ends? I feel the focus on #38 is too much at this point.
  22. Kind of embarrassing to lose to that team. Looked flat. I think they thought they could roll out there and just win…not how it works
