    I remember that. Amusing. I realize the subject is somewhat esoteric to the average fan but makes those of us who were there question the validity of any information in that book.

    Your point had me think of another. If one complains that USF is not in an "automatic bid" conference on one hand and then states a conference accepting USF would be marginalized on another , a what is their exact position? What does it all mean?

    If the shoe had been on the other foot, I would have been relieved that USF squeaked our close victories rather than mock the other team. USF has been pathetic yet had legitimate chances to beat them.

    To add, I know USF's are not stellar but often people are in the club section or not in their seats so it looks worse than it is. As far as the miscreants go, I was watching the USF game and totally missed their's. I got a spy report from a fan of a fellow AAC team that a lot of their fans left when it was 35-10 thinking the game was over. That part is what is somewhat satisfying.

    I have to give them credit for this Pac 2 approach, if they go through with it. Rather than sit around and complain about what happened to them or the unjust treatment, they are going to squeeze it for all it is worth.

    Not happy with another loss for sure. Still, I don't think it is celebrating anything to still find it amusing that our less than stellar team knocked them out of the top 10. This is the flagship of a conference that ESECPN and SEC fans bragged about to make sound like they are as good or better than the NFL. Haha

    So, the conference caused a competitive program to be a doormat? I reject the premise. While certainly there was a drop off on interest, the conference is not an excuse for failure. If USF was actually winning games in the AAC and against perceived lesser competition while getting blown our by p5 teams, your point would be valid. Clearly that is not the case here.

    If we are talking football, before we start casting aspersions about other teams in the conference, don't you think USF should at least win a few games first?

    Rice was in the old Southwest Conference. Temple was in the Big East before USF. Even so, your point is well taken. The only team which moved up and had not been in a power conference........, well we won't same the name.

    As a sometimes critic of certain things back then, I was still rational enough and objective enough to ask the malcontents the all important question: "Who can we get who would be better". They made it all seem so easy. Here we are, in year 14 after the deed was done. The program only had 13 years under it's belt at the time.

    James Madison would only make sense for the ACC. The ACC already has Duke, with JMU, they would have multiple Dukes.

    I saw the line in the Miami game was 16,5. Given that, my lock of the week is Miami will win and Miami will cover .
