  1. Every time our linemen were getting blown off of the ball or our guys were missing tackles due to being overpowered, I wondered what the guy had been doing. I think the only time this season our guys seemed to be in better shape was late in the last game where the UCF defense looked a little tired. The latter is why you don't just run up the middle 3 times and give them a break. At least run it to the sides and make them work a little more.
  2. Taggart is the only one who had any decent seasons which you cannot argue were merely a carryover from the previous coach. I certainly am not one to dismiss the good seasons we had in the middle of all of the losing which has happened the last 13 years. Some are mad that he left and I get that but I cannot blame him as I can recall many wanting him canned as he was rebuilding. In any event, I do not see any conflict in pointing out what each guy did here to win and having a positive opinion of both even if there were marked weaknesses.
  3. Totally true and certainly the lead factor. The others which I am sure helped were that they are a nationally recognized name brand. They are cited as playing Princeton in the first football game and are generally respected as a quality school. Even if you did not watch sports but maybe stumbled upon an episode of Mr. Magoo, you might know about Rutgers.
  4. First of all, that billboard was done by one (or group) of the overzealous fans and certainly not something I would condone after just one regular season victory. Don't use "we" for me. Next, if you are complaining about lack of investment, this is not like the 1980's Bucs where old man Culverhouse was hoarding all of the money. You and I and everyone else who supports the program are the investors and if you want to see more, you have to consider investing more. Next, we do have plenty on here who have graciously invested in the program and are unhappy with the results as well as the direction. They are cancelling said investiment and I have no issues with that. Most of us have different levels of limitations. Finally, where do you even see an inkling that anyone on here is okay or has accepted all of the losing?
  5. Let's not even consider the fact that going 3-28 the last few seasons might contribute to them waxing nostalgic. I can understand why they would. Losing some games is not as painful as losing almost ALL games. Your point might have relevance if the team had had a pulse the last few seasons.
  6. This is good. I am still holding out for Red Beaulieu to get on board. Hey, he's a proven winner. He is always flashing that championship ring around.
  7. Did you scroll down and see the retweet of the Maryland chick? Funny enough and then that one guy's reaction.
  8. To be fair, I think the part above was more the fault of the cheap guy whose wife later stated that she wanted to dig him up and shoot him 3 times.
  9. The question is, did you get your Quinton Flowers bobblehead? I had a light laugh in seeing confused UCF fans thinking it was part of the giveaways and seeing if they could get one. In any event, they saved what arguably was the best gift for that game.
  10. They are searching the local hardware stores for a wheel barrow large enough to hold all of the money. So far, no dice.
  11. Far out man. I missed that the last time I played "Revolution 9" backwards.
  12. Too funny. He was an abject failure for the Bucs but people forget that when he coached the Falcons, they only gave up 129 points in 14 games one season (1977). The Bucs defense was awful in his time here. This is a prime example that you sometimes don't know what you are getting when you hire a guy.
